PS Aeropostale - SPRING 2015 COLLECTION Feature

Our oldest daughter has a style all of her own!  She is very particular about what she will and won't wear!  She has always been that way! Our youngest daughter is pretty easy going when it comes to her clothes (as long as they fit comfortably), but the oldest is all about "HER" style.

I am a VIP for PS Aeropostale.  I have the opportunity to spend $100 (gift card), to share with my readers about their newest lines as they arrive in store.  I was not offered any other monetary compensation by posting our honest opinions on their clothing line and products.

One store that she is absolutely addicted to & obsessed with wearing...is PS Aeropostale.
She loves their style!
She loves their look!
She loves their clothes!
She loves pretty much loves & wants everything they have in their store.
So being a VIP for PS Aeropostale was simply a treat for our whole family!  Why?  Because she's not the only one that loves their products.  I love their boys line, for our little guy (our oldest is too big for their clothes now, but he does wear Aeropostale clothes) and our youngest daughter loves what her big sister loves (she looks up to her so much).  So it's pretty safe to say, we never have a problem finding something they each want, when we shop their website or in their stores.
So since SPRING is quickly approaching (where the heck did winter go already?), PS Aeropostale is gearing up for a very fashionable spring.   Which means my kids are too! In fact, we had a hard time choosing and selecting products from their SPRING 2015 collection, because there was so much that delighted our girls and even our trendsetter little guy.
We fell in love with these Kids' Metallic Heart Graphic T (in red)for the girls for Valentine's Day and the kids' psny diamond graphic t  (in Red) for the little guy to wear on Valentine's Day!
Our sweethearts will look extra sweet in these tees!
And of course, the girls Valentine's outfits would not be complete without these adorable kids' candy hearts crew socks.  How sweet, right?  Every girl loves some cute accessories and PS Aeropostale offers plenty of options there too.
Our little guy will look amazing, as the weather warms up and he wears these awesome tees to school and even to the beach this summer: kids' los angeles graphic tkids' nyc 1987 graphic t, and kids' nyc circle graphic t.  The funniest part to me is that, he has lived on the West and East Coasts...and visited both places (LA and NYC), so these tees are perfect for him.
And our girls will be "EXTRA" sweet wearing these adorable tops this SPRING!  I mean, how SUGARY SWEET are these tops: kids' cat treat graphic tkids' puppy polka dot graphic t, and kids' long sleeve xo tee?
These tees are even cuter in person!  Take my word for it!
They look even more adorable on our girls! LOVE THEM!

Have you ever shopped PS Aeropostale?
Their clothing is stylish, trendy and washes up well too.  It's built for tough kids who "WEAR" their clothes hard.  They are always offering sales (awesome sales), discounts and their clearance has some amazing deals...so maybe you could stock up for next year?
Just saying...it's always good to plan ahead and save some money in the long run!

Maybe you're already planning who will be in the SUPERBOWL next year (if your team is not one of the teams playing).
Do you have any little football fans in your home?
We were just introduced to Softjox and their customized players will give your lil' football player a plush tackle buddy of his very own.
Someone to snuggle up with to watch the game, and then wrestle with on the floor after a good play or even a touchdown!
Our Softjox came customized with his last name on the back and his own special # too.
HOW CUTE IS THAT?
And it's super soft!  You just want to squish and hug on it!
At least I did...and our little guy did too, he snuggled with him all evening while watching TV!
He even played a little tackle football with his new Softjox buddy on our living room floor tonight.
And yes...he is tucked into bed with the million other stuffed "friends" our youngest sleeps with.  He seems to be right at home among the crew of others...and if you can't tell from the smile on his face, our little guy is happy to have a new sleep buddy too.

Don't Throw Your Broken Crayons Away - A VALENTINE'S DAY IDEA!

As you know, I love Pinterest ideas!
Sometimes I try them and they work!
Sometimes I try them and they don't.
You never know...until you try!

This idea was found on pinterest and I was not offered any monetary compensation by trying it out.  All opinions are my own!

The kids and I just attempted one the other day that worked so well, I had to share it with you guys, because it could save you a little bundle this Valentine's Day and give you & the kiddos a fun project to work on too.

Do you have any broken crayons at your house?
Ok...honestly, if you have kids, you probably have broken crayons or you may have already tossed them in the trash, but for future reference on what to do with them:
Put them in a plastic baggie and save them up until you have enough...to do the following:
Just peel the labels off and cut the broken crayons into bits, that will fit into any silicone mold shape you desire (we used hearts for Valentine's Day).  Then fill up the molds with the crayon pieces!  You can mix and match the colors in the molds or stick with the same colors.
Our daughter chose to mix them up a little...

You simply put the mold in a preheated 275 degree oven for 10 to 15 minutes (depends on how they melt).
Take them out, let them cool (we put them in the freezer) and then pop them out.  TADA!!  You have amazing heart shaped crayons (they write great too) and they cost nothing but a little time and a fun project activity to do with your kids.  LOVE IT!  You can wrap them up individually or put a couple in a baggie with a cute little label and let your kid's take them to school as their Valentine's this year!

Share the love and recycle some old crayons...and it's FREE!!

Fan Voted - VO5 Silky Experiences Pure Sunshine Products

As you know, we are are a household, who are truly fans & supporters of things that are inexpensive, but work great!

All products for this review/feature were sent free of charge by the company!  I was not offered any monetary compensation by posting my honest opinion about these products!

Staying on budget and keeping our spending at a minimum is SUPER important!
But that doesn't mean that things like, the quality of our hair care products should reflect the strict spending limits, right?
At least...one would hope so!
Especially with three ladies in the home (me and the two daughters) who have long, tangled, and sometimes even dried out hair that needs help.
First...I wish there was smellovision, because this product smells so refreshing, I couldn't wait to try it...because I knew I would be smelling like it long after I used it.  SCORE!
(I've opened the bottles for you...take a sniff!)

I am always delighted when VO5 sends us new product!  Why?
First off, their product is quality and really does keep our hair soft, tangle free and manageable.

The other benefit?  It's super reasonably priced.
In fact, you can find it even at our DollarTree...so you really can't beat it.
Plus, this product was a "Fan Voted" fragrance, so VO5 really cares about their clients and wants to make sure they are listening when the fans are speaking.  How cool is that?  Products truly inspired by the people who use them!  I LOVE THAT!

Have you tried VO5 products before?

Could Santa Leave POOP In Their Stockings Next Year? YUM!

I've always joked with my kids about Santa leaving them coal in their stockings if they are not good.  Have you joked with yours?
What if Santa left Poop in their stockings?
Would that change their attitudes a little?

All products were sent free of charge by the company for this review/feature!  I was not offered any monetary compensation by posting about this product or my feelings on it.
A tad bit early for Christmas 2015, this might be a post you'll want to bookmark for December...when I tell you about this product that just arrived for us to review/feature!
Columbia Empire Farms sent me samples of their Holiday POOP selection.  Of course, it's not really POOP...it's generous bites of Chocolate Nut Toffee and it's delicious!
SERIOUSLY...melt in your mouth yummy!
Think...big bites of HEATH Bar!  YUM!

We received Reindeer Poop, Snowman Poop and Santa Poop.  Now...I bet if you threaten your kids...that they might get poop in their stockings this year if they don't behave...you'll probably grab their attention and maybe it will benefit their behavior as the year progresses.
Little do they know, that this would actually be a mouth watering treat as well.
Of course, Columbia Empire Farms makes this Chocolate Nut Toffee in the form of many different "animals" and "seasonal" (Like Cupid and Leprechaun) poops.  Such a variety to choose from...this might be the perfect gag gift to share with a co-worker who gives you a hard time, a friend who is hard to buy for, or something who just needs a giggle right now.  Plus...the Toffee is delicious and will satisfy their sweet tooth in the best way possible.

CLICK HERE to see their entire available selection of POOP and have a laugh with me!
Oh...and trust me...they offer way more than just packages of poop!

Is Your Little One Struggling With Reading? Help Them Be A "Reading Champ" Too...

Our youngest son has truly no desire to learn to read.   He doesn't! Our oldest son never really did either!  It's like pulling teeth to work through his sight word list...he even tells me I'm torturing him (where he learned that word, I have no idea) when I make him do this fluency reading, etc.  It's a struggle, as a parent, to not push too hard...yet still make sure he's doing what is required and meeting his goals for his grade.
He's smart...and is capable (I don't believe we have any learning issues), he just truly has no desire to read.

All products for this review/feature were sent free of charge!  I was not offered any monetary compensation by posting my honest opinions on this book!
So when I was contacted to do a review of a book that was written to encourage parents and even teachers on how to make the process of "teaching reading made easy"...I had to see what it was all about.  I mean...if this book could be my "easy fix" for our little guys reading struggles...this was a total answer to prayer too...and I had to pass it on and share it with my readers as well.
Reading Champs, by Rita M. Wirtz, MA arrived and honestly, I was a little overwhelmed with the book.  I am not a teacher.  I have no formal college education.  I am, however, a mommy who wants her little guy to learn to read...as simply and easily on both of us as possible.
So as intimidating as the book seemed...I dove in...for the both of us.
Having this book on hand...even in the years to come with him, will be very handy.  Why?  It explains the teaching methods of things like suffixes, diphthongs (what the heck is that?) and long vowels.  Honestly, our English language is a bit confusing, when things are silent, things make two different sounds, etc.  I can understand why children really struggle with reading and writing.  I know our oldest son thanks the GOOD LORD for spell check on the computer, when he's writing papers for his middle school work.
This book is written so that even a person like me, who is lacking more FORMAL education, can understand and really use the processes in helping the ones who are struggling with this, to learn.
This winter break, we have been working on sight words...and he seems to be improving quite a bit.  Maybe somethings clicking or maybe the repetition is working?  Who knows...
I am encouraged though!  I know there is no miracle cure, and honestly...books can be written and taught, but applying them and then seeing them actually work with so many different types of people (learners) in this world...is person specific.  I like what I have learned so far, and I haven't made it through the entire book yet.  I am hoping that by educating myself, it will help him in his learning process.
We shall see...because as we know...nothing is an EASY FIX in life!

CLICK HERE to learn more about "Reading Champs" and perhaps you will be encouraged by this as well, if you're struggling with a child who is having issues with learning to read.
