Your Lil' Guy Will Love This Stocking Stuffer - @InRoadToys

Boys and cars...they sorta go hand in hand, right?
Our oldest son loved Hot Wheels when he was little!  He's passed that stage in life, but that just means that his little bro gets to inherit the collection of cars that his mommy "had to buy him" to play with.  I mean, who can resist those little metal cars?  So guess who's the LUCKY little guy now?

All products for this review/feature was sent free of charge by the company.  I was not offered any monetary compensation by posting my honest opinion about this product.
But sometimes, a little "added" creativity can make playing with these little vehicles even more fun and exciting!  It can even bring some new attraction to the idea of playing with cars for hours on end!  Even mommy will want to play!
It can be as simple as a roll of tape...that looks like a road, that you can roll onto your carpet, furniture or even walls.
It can transform even a boring floor area into hours of CREATIVE playtime with your little guy and his cars.
When the InRoad Toys PlayTape Rolls  arrived...our youngest wouldn't put them down until we transformed our living room into a huge street.  This Classic Road Series Black Play Tape unrolled easy, but I realized that it really wasn't SUPER sticky.  In fact...it didn't stick well unless it was flat on the ground.  Now, I understand this is because, when you pull it up, it does not leave a sticky residue, which is nice...but it's hard to make a road that goes up and down the furniture or walls that doesn't stick well.
Aside from that, and the fact that it is a little $$ pricey for a stocking stuffer type item...we had a total blast with it.  Figuring out how we wanted to make it go and then putting the cars into action on it.  Even our youngest daughter got into the action of playing with her brother...as they drove their cars all around their living room road.
We will be using the Classic Rail Series - Overgrown Railroad PlayTape Track another day...and we'll have a whole new experience with a whole new creative adventure.  Only next time, we'll have to pull out the trains!

CLICK HERE to learn more about these products and their full line of PlayTapes...you'll love how these bring adventure, learning, fun and creativity into your home...and it's as simple as a roll of tape!
It's totally something he'll be begging me for more of!
I LOVE IT!

The Day He Met HelioSledge - His @HeroMeLab Hero

What type of SUPERHERO would your son create if he had the choice?
Would he pick a hero that had super strength?
Would he pick a hero who had super speed?
Maybe even super agility or defense?

The product was sent to me, via a gift code, free of charge for this review/feature by the company.  I was not offered any monetary compensation by posting my honest opinions about this product!
Being a mommy of two boys, I know how much our boys LOVE a GOOD HERO!  So when our youngest had the opportunity to not only "CREATE" his own super hero, through his vivid imagination...online, but also see him come to our house in DOLL FORM...he was beyond excited & delighted and so was I!
So two weeks ago, we logged on and created his super hero on www.heromelab.com (who he named HelioSledge...because he has a Helicopter arm and Sledge Hammer leg) with a few clicks of the mouse.
He created him (piece by piece) as we got to see & chose which pieces made him stronger in which areas of attack mode/method!
He gave him his SUPERHERO name "HelioSledge"!
He picked just how old he is and what his "everyday average name" is..."Brick Shield".
He totally personalized his NEW HERO FRIEND from start to finish!

Then the internal clock in our little guy...started ticking...and tocking...and everyday he was waiting to see if his HeroMeLab HERO had arrived yet.  He literally asked me everyday, as he waited for him to make his appearance in physical form.
He was beyond delighted yesterday, when he arrived home from school, to see that HelioSledge had made it safely (no shock, he is a super hero after all) to our house.
He was purely delighted!
He came packaged in a cool rocket style box (which honestly probably won't last too long with a rough and tough guy playing with it).  He came with a "fill in" book, that we started filling out...with information about him and the adventures he will take.  He came with an ID card too.
Best of all, HelioSledge is made of hard plastic and will probably be a family heirloom that he can pass down to his son someday.  This is a special toy.  Yes, it's to play with, but it's also something to treasure!  Not only is he a super awesome SUPER HERO...but our little guy designed him, himself...so a part of him is in this hero doll.  With his helicopter arm and sledgehammer leg, he is destined to have many, many adventures with our son.
Not only him, but his son and probably even his grandson...because this doll was built to last!
This is an investment (it is a personalized toy) that was well worth the time, the imagination and the wait!
Have you checked out HeroMeLab yet?
CLICK HERE to check it out!

If you are stumped on Christmas presents or birthday presents for your "hard to buy for" little guy...consider gifting him the opportunity to create his own superhero, from the comfort of your at home computer...that will arrive at your door, ready for years and years of play time.

SeaWorld's Christmas Celebration 2014 PREVIEW - #ChristmasatSeaWorld

I had the honor and delight, on the launch day, to get to head to one of my MOST FAVORITE amusement parks to enjoy all the sights and sounds of the Christmas Season...this last weekend!
It was a lot to take in...because they truly have a lot of fun going on around the park, to celebrate Christmas.

The tickets for us to preview the new shows for Christmas at Seaworld were provided by Seaworld free of charge.  I was not offered any monetary compensation by posting my honest thoughts and opinions on the park, the experience or what I saw or did.
So without further ado...I give you "SeaWorld's Christmas Celebration 2014", from One Bored Mommy's perspective.
I arrived at the park and the first thing I noticed and loved was all the decorations!  They did well making sure that the park feels festive and in the Christmas spirit.  There are Christmas trees, there are lots of lights, there are poinsettias, and there are little details around every corner...even live reindeer & Santa...that make the park come alive at Christmas time.
The first stop of the day was "Dolphin Island Christmas".  This show is filled with fun music, bright costumes and lots of activity.  I am always amazed watching these animals and their trainers perform.  You can tell that each one enjoys doing their part in all the fun & excitement of the performance.  There was dolphins flipping in the air...acrobatics high diving, hula dancers dancing, and so much Christmas FUN!  I loved this show!
The next stop on the agenda was the Pets Rule Christmas show.  This is always a favorite, because I love that they have trained these rescued pets to do things that are simply unreal.  Like cats that actually do things on command (although during the performance I watched...the cat hesitated at first to walk the tight rope, but finally did it)...a pig that can do almost everything a dog can do, adorable ducks, kangaroos, so many dogs, cats, parrots and more.  This show is never dull and always fun!  They even decorated their stage, during the show, for Christmas and put together Frosty the Snowman...piece by piece with the help of the animals.  Your kids will love this show too!  I also got to pet a kangaroo (a first for me) at the end of the show...when you can meet & greet the performers.  VERY COOL!
Next...I had to play in the snow a little in their "Snow World"!  I mean...come on...I am a So. California, so I don't mind playing in it...as long as I know I can walk away and be warmed right up by the sun again.  And trust me...you should have seen the kids faces...everyone enjoyed their time in the snow, kids and parents alike.  Snowballs being made and thrown, the kids were sledding down a small hill, and even some families made snowmen (although this snow is not really good for making snowmen).   I played in it, for a few minutes, in my flip flops (in true Southern California fashion) and it was a blast!  I love that they have snow for all to enjoy while they are spending the day at the park.  I guarantee your kids will love it too...just don't forget to pack a pair of gloves...because the snow does get cold!
Oh...and while I was wandering the park...I met Santa.  He wasn't in costume, but he was definitely the JOLLY GUY!  He told me he was surprised I recognized him!  Too funny!
The Clyde and Seamore Christmas Special was as entertaining, if not more, as always.  In fact, I really enjoyed the fact that they included their "pre-entertainment" guy Biff in the entire performance, because he was great and everyone in the crowd loved him!  The performers and Sea lions did an amazing job and made the crowd laugh and cheer!
We even watched the ball drop and celebrated New Years...a little early, during the show!
Because I was there for this PREVIEW...I was invited to an exclusive dinner, where not only did I get to eat some delicious things for dinner...but also got the chance to chit chat with the Executive Chef for SeaWorld/Aquatica.  Not only is he a nice guy, but he really has a drive to bring a better overall "food experience" to this amusement park.  If you've been to SeaWorld, you know what I'm talking about.  They have an excellent variety of things to enjoy...and most is not the traditional, boring amusement park cuisine.  They even have specialty Grilled Cheese Sandwich Cart (yes, I ate a brie and cranberry sandwich that melted in your mouth) in the park for your taste bud satisfaction.  They have amazing freshly baked desserts...like cinnamon rolls with bacon on top.  YUM!  The food was definitely not your ordinary amusement park options...you really "GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR" when it comes to the cuisine at SeaWorld...because we all know that eating at the park can get quite pricey.
The Shamu Christmas Miracles Show brought tears to my eyes and chills to my body (my pictures do not do justice to the magic that's involved in this production).  No joke!  For some reason the Shamu Show always tugs at my heart strings anyway...but especially this one.  They included the message of the true "reason" we celebrate Christmas in their show...which is the TRUE MIRACLE behind why we celebrate Christmas.  This warmed my heart to no end!  It's nice to see a park take a stand and explain the true reason Christmas is CHRISTMAS!  The show was amazing...the performers (both in the water and on stage) dazzled the audience.  The live singer and her choir that filled the stairs with music, made the culmination of the show an amazing experience.  You honestly can't leave that show not feeling a little Christmas Spirit and Joy in your hearts.  Tis the Season...

My entire day at SeaWorld was filled with smiles, fun, laughter, great entertainment, all of my senses were engaged and it left lasting memories...for me...until the next time I get to visit again!

If you are in the area of a SeaWorld and have the chance to check out their Christmas Celebration this year...I would highly recommend it!  It's more than just a "day at the park"...

I was not paid to feature this post!  I was compensated only by the tickets and meal provided for us to spend the day at the park!  I was not offered any monetary compensation for writing this review of their Christmas Celebration shows.

Which Scent Will Be Your HOLIDAY Favorite? SoftSoap Limited Edition Body Washes Have Arrived!

Tis the season...to smell like the season?  Maybe that isn't all that bad...right?  I mean, I love the scent of peppermint...so why wouldn't I love washing and moisturizing my body with something that leaves me with the scent of peppermint...long after my showering?

All products were sent free of charge by the company.  I was not offered any monetary compensation by offering my honest opinion about these products!
I always love how SoftSoap offers "Limited Edition" lines during the holidays.
This year...I received samples of three of their new Seasonal "Limited Edition" moisturizing body washes:
Alpine Mint Frost - That offers the scent of a Cool Winter Mint  (basically candy-cane).  This is my favorite of the three.  Tis the Season...so we might as well embrace the peppermint scent and let your body enjoy the benefits of the softsoap moisturizing wash.  I LOVE THIS ONE!  Of course, I will probably only use it around the holidays...not sure smelling like peppermint year round would work out so well.
Parisian Berry Bliss - This one offers the scent of Red Winter Berries.  This is my runner up scent.  It smells delightful.  Not necessarily of the holidays (at least it didn't to me), but the berries are sweet and fragrant, and it sort of reminds me of raspberries.
I would use this seasonal body wash year round.
Venetian Vanilla Spice - This one offers the scent of Sweet Vanilla and Spices.  Oddly enough, this was my least favorite of the three, and normally vanilla things are my favorite.  Not sure I think the "spice" mixture they added to the vanilla scent did anything for me.  In fact, I really didn't like the smell of this moisturizing body wash at all...to be honest.
Regardless, of my personal opinions, you can find these SEASONAL Limited Edition moisturizing body washes in a store near you...to enjoy during the holidays.  Enjoy the benefits of a softer skin this winter and the delight of a holiday scent to linger on your skin, long after you shower.

CLICK HERE to learn more about SoftSoap and all the products that they offer!  I'd be curious to know, which one is your favorite Seasonal Scent.

Thoughtful Holiday Gifts - That Don't Cost A Lot @mybodycology

The holidays are quickly approaching, which means it's time to start figuring out what you're going to be buying this year for gifts...for friends, family, teachers, etc.
This time of year can be extremely stressful on your wallet...but it really doesn't have to be.

All products for this review/feature were sent free of charge by the company!  I was not offered any monetary compensation by posting my honest opinion about this gift set!

I have learned that some of the most thoughtful, heartfelt gifts don't cost much money at all.
And honestly, it's the gift giving supposed to be about the thought that counts anyways?
I was so excited to receive a sample of BodyCology's "Scarlet Kiss" Gift Set.
With the mixtures of pomegranate, peach and vanilla...you know this scent can't go wrong!
This set includes:

(Scarlet Kiss smells great...in fact, someone might want to kiss you after you've sprayed yourself down with it...it's that good!)

This set will make the perfect thoughtful gift for your children's teachers at school, their parent helpers in their class, your mail person (if it's a woman of course...not sure a male mail carrier would appreciate it), or even stocking stuffers for your favorite teenager or tweenager, etc.  You get the idea.  These gift sets are sold at Target and are very reasonably priced!
And trust me...I'm a stickler about being cost effective on a budget!
So plan ahead, make a trip to Target (This set is only $4.99 at Target), buy them out of their BodyCology Gift Sets this holiday and make sure everyone on your Holiday List gets something (even if it's in their stocking) to make their skin feel nice and their body smell fabulous too!

Growing My Hair Out...Split End Free - @MyVO5 Split Ends Shampoo And Conditioner

It's funny...my hair is something that I've enjoyed changing up as much as I can!  Sometimes, I like to grow it out!  Sometimes I like to chop it off!   Sometimes I like to have bangs!  Sometimes I don't!   Sometimes I like to dye it and sometimes I like to highlight it!

My hair has taken quite a beating over the years...with all of the changes...and simply the fact that just by washing, drying & flat ironing my hair, it damages it.

All products for this review/feature were sent free of charge by the company!  I was not offered any monetary compensation by posting my honest opinion about these products!
And that's when I notice them...SPLIT ENDS!  They are the worst!  They make me want to chop it all off and start over again!  But honestly, I don't want to cut my hair again right now.  So how does one afford to grow their hair out, without having to purchase pricey boutique style hair products, to protect from Split Ends?

Is there anything that a budget minded person can do, to pursue healthy "split end free" hair growth...without breaking the bank?
That's why I love VO5 products!  In fact, my oldest daughter, who has the longest and most tangly hair in our home...loves VO5 hair products too...because they work for us!  I also like that they are budget friendly products, because when she starts begging me to buy more...I can almost always afford to.  VO5 hair care products are affordable...because they were created to work for all of us.
Heaven knows I try to get my hair trimmed often...but honestly only am I able to make it to have that done once or twice a year.  So that means that I need to keep my hair as SPLIT END FREE as possible...so that it can keep growing in a healthy, full way.
Please excuse the makeup free look...but you're getting the raw, natural look...when I wash/dry my hair.

These products not only work...they smell great...and like I said before, their conditioners work amazing on combing out tangles, keeping your hair soft and manageable and they are products the whole family can use too.  My hair feels and looks amazing!  With three girls in our home, this type of shampoo/conditioner will get used up pretty quickly.  Especially since we all have fairly long hair.  That's why it's great that it doesn't cost a lot too.  Because will with go through these two bottles pretty quickly and be at the store buying more.

Born To Be Wild - Kate Mack Girl's Wild Princess Pleather Jacket

My girls...they are so much fun to dress!  They always have been!  They came home from the hospital with bows on their heads and matching outfits & blankets.  As they get older, they get personalities all of their own and a fashion sense that fits each one perfectly.  My oldest daughter has a "rougher" edge when it comes to her dress code.  She prefers skinny jeans, not as much pink in her wardrobe (she prefers more neutrals) and is more content with less blingy fashion options.

All product for this review/feature were sent free of charge!  I was not offered any monetary compensation by posting my honest opinion about this product!

So when we received a "biker style" jacket from Kate Mack
I knew it would be the perfect match for her particular "fashion" style!
Yes...this Kate Mack Girl's Wild Princess Pleather Jacket does have some bling (rhinestones) on the backside...but the jacket is pretty simple in style, and has the adorable size zip zipper & ruffled elastic bottom.
It's so cute, right??
The only complaint I have with this jacket is sleeve length, because it fits her perfectly everywhere...except the sleeves.  We got a size 10, which is the size she wears in tops, and sometimes the sleeve length is even long her...but this jacket doesn't have much grow room (in fact, the arms are already sorta short) for her for this winter.
So keep in mind that this style jacket does run a little small, at least in the sleeve length.
I do love the rhinestone tiara on the back, the ruffles at the bottom and the adorable angled side zipper.  I wish this jacket came in my size...because I'd buy one to match hers.

Keep in mind, they are a boutique brand...so their prices reflect that...but you get what you pay for!  Their styles aren't something you can find in a generic department store and your sweet princess will love their fashion line too.
