The Wonder Years - Season One ON DVD

Oh...The Wonder Years...

All products were sent free of charge for this review/feature!  I was not offered any monetary compensation by writing my honest opinions about this show or this DVD release!

How I remember this show so fondly!  When it came out in 1988, I was only ten years old, but I remember watching it with my father, who felt like he was watching his childhood on the TV screen.  My dad was adorable like Kevin Arnold, had beautiful girlfriends like Winnie Cooper (Eunice), had a buddy like Paul Pfeiffer (Chico), a big sister like Karen (DeeAnne) and a big brother like Wayne (Duke), who used to beat him up and pick on him...like older brothers do!
This 2 disc set, available for $19.95 SRP released October 7th, will be released for the first time, and includes six unedited episodes from the first season of the show.  It also features every song from the original broadcasts.  And these songs will get stuck in your head...even my kids sing them & enjoy the shows.  This show was just adorable and clean.  It showed young love, war, social pressures and even what it's like at a junior high dance.
Having a 7th grade son, it's fun to watch these shows with him.
This set also includes interviews with the cast members and even a bonus feature "A Wonderful Day: Highlights from the Wonder Years Cast Reunion" (from May 28th, 2014).
This reunion might make you tear up...like it did me!
Plus...I seriously love the music from this show!

@Mabelhood - Mabel's Labels NEW ADDITION - "The Baby Combo" Has Arrived

As you know, I am a mommy who is rather fond of personalizing things!  Especially with four kids, keeping track of who's stuff is who's is very important...even as my kids get older!

All products for this review/feature were sent free of charge by the company!  I was not offered any monetary compensation by posting my honest opinion about the products being reviewed/featured!
But when they were infants, it was crucial to me!  Why?  Babies like to share things with other babies.  When I used to drop my babies off in the church nursery, it was nice knowing that my kid's had their stuff labeled...PLAIN AS DAY...so that those watching my sweet ones, would be able to identify if my child had their rightful cup.  As you know, babies are major germ spreaders...and sharing cups in a church nursery is SUPER COMMON!

That's why I loved Mabel's Labels.  And now...they have their newest addition to their label combos..."THE BABY COMBO" which is a MUST HAVE for any new mommy or mommy of an infant/toddler.  TRUST ME...you're going to want to order these!
With new colors & new adorable icons to choose from too!
My niece's name is on the labels I received...why?  She just had her first visit to the church nursery, at her church in Texas and her auntie wants to make sure that, just like with my babies, she has her rightful sippy cup at snack time in her class.
(I used the shoe label on the sippy cup, because of the shape of the cup and to make it look a little different than the others she will have)

Of course, her diaper bag needs to be clearly labeled too, so the metal name tag (with cupcake design) is super adorable and her mommy is going to love having it on her diaper bag.  Plus, the colors are super girlie and this really shows off her adorable name!

This combo comes with enough labels to label all your infant/toddler's sippy cups, toys, shoes, diaper bag and more.
These labels last through dish washing and even years of use.  I LOVE THEM and I know my sister is going to too!  They are super durable, absolutely adorable and will keep your child's personal things (even special toys, lovies, etc.) labeled and personalized & hopefully will help you keep from loosing them or them falling into someone else's hands.

If you have a friend or relative that has a new baby...or perhaps you do and you're desperate to stop the GERM SHARING and keep your child's things personalized and hopefully in their rightful hands, you need to order Mabel's Labels.

Hip Baby Wrap - Nursing And Baby Wearing TO THE COMFORTABLE MAX!

My baby wearing and nursing days are a thing of the past!  *SNIFF* *SNIFF*
But I've been there, done that...and loved every single second of it!
There is nothing more soothing (in my opinion) to a new mommy...than once you've gotten the hang of nursing...and being able to do it modestly, in public, with confidence.  And there is nothing like "wearing your baby" on your chest and the feeling of warmth and comfort...when that baby is soothed and sleeping to your heart beat.

All products sent for this review/feature were sent free of charge by the company.  I was not offered any monetary compensation by posting my honest opinion about these products!
So when Hip Baby Wrap sent me their two products...I was excited to check them out, for mommies to be and mommies who already are (and need products like this).

The Hip Baby Wrap is made out of woven cotton material.  This is different than other wraps I've used in the past, mainly because the other's were made out of stretchy cotton.  I'll admit, I was a little leery, because I wasn't sure that this wrap would be comfortable for a baby.  However, after I managed through wrapping up my daughter's "bitty baby" in this wrap, I realized that it does give in all the right places.  The material does stretch and breath differently than stretchy cotton, but it's still cozy and sturdy...and can give the mommies wearing it, confidence that their baby is safe, secured and comfortable as can be.  If you've never worn your baby before, it's an experience you'll want to have.  It takes a little while to get the hang of actually "wrapping", but once you've figured out how...it's like second nature.  You can wear this wrap several different ways, as a front, back and hip carry.  All of which your child will enjoy, depending on their age and personality.  My youngest, loved being carried on my chest and would stay asleep for hours (I wore him two days straight to amusement parks, which he slept through the entire time).
The Hip Baby Nursing Poncho is colorful, roomy and fabulous. Since I don't actually have a nursing baby to try it with, I again used my daughter's "bitty baby" as an example and there is plenty of room in this nursing poncho to feed a newborn on up to toddler.  It is made of the same woven fabric as the Hip Baby Wrap and I think that as your baby gets older, it will enjoy nursing under this poncho, because it fits in a way that doesn't really make the baby feel covered.  My babies never liked being covered when nursing.  It got hot, dark and they squirmed and screamed.  There's no guarantee that this Nursing Poncho will bring a different result, but I don't see any reason this poncho wouldn't be a fabulous "new mommy" gift for a soon to be nursing mom.

Both products are machine washable, can be used for newborns on up, and would both be great "gifts" for an expecting or NEW mom!
I will admit, the price of these products is a little high, but you are paying for a boutique product...so keep that in mind!  And these are both products that will last through more than one baby, if having a larger family is on your agenda!

CLICK HERE to learn more about both products on their website!

The Simplest Pumpkin Muffins EVER - Taste Great and Boy Does Your House Smell Edible Too!

Oh fall...I'm so glad you're arriving finally!  How I love the cool crisp breeze you bring!  The colorful leaves as they change and fall and especially the baked goods that not only add a few pounds on each of us, but also make our houses smell downright edible when they bake!
Tonight I made the easiest and simplest PUMPKIN MUFFINS ever (a recipe I saw on Facebook)!  Seriously with only two necessary ingredients (I also added chocolate chips and two teaspoons of milk...just because everything is better with a little chocolate added), you simply mix, put in the muffin tin, and bake at 350 degrees for about 18 to 20 minutes (or until the toothpick comes out clean).
These muffins not only look yummy (I had to taste test this one before it even cooled all the way)...but make your mouth water while you smell them baking!  And they taste absolutely delightful too!  Like a little bit of fall in your mouth!  If you love pumpkin and love "baking recipes" that are simple and easy (even a "YOUNG BAKER" could make these muffins), then I recommend you try making them too!

Perfect for "just because" or even for sharing this FALL...you'll thank me for sharing this recipe!

I was not paid to feature this post!  All products used for this post were purchased on my own accord!  I was not promoting any company or product in this post!  Just simply sharing a simple & delicious recipe with my readers!

Before You Go - See What It's All About - "SEAWORLD Halloween Spooktacular" Event REVIEW

Did you know that SeaWorld San Diego celebrates Halloween in a Spooktacular way?
Did you know that the entire month of October, kids can get into SeaWorld for free, with a full paying adult admission?

I was not offered any monetary compensation in return for my honest opinion about our experience at the SeaWorld Spooktacular Event.  We were offered admission into the park, for the day and a breakfast prior to the launch of the event.
We got up bright and early, the kids got "READY" for their day of trick or treating around the park and we headed down to San Diego to check out all the "SPOOKY FUN" stuff that we would be seeing & enjoying at the "kick off" of the Halloween Spooktacular event at SeaWorld San Diego.yesterday.
This blogging event offered us some delicious breakfast choices, crepes, breakfast burrito buffet, oatmeal buffet and even a cold cereal buffet.  My kid's bellies were delighted and we were ready to settle into an eventfully spooky day around the SeaWorld San Diego park.
Before we headed out into the park, we were introduced to some of the "spooky" animals that SeaWorld takes care of...and not all of them come from the SEA!  Aleera the Owl (did you know that owl's actually aren't very wise at all?), Taro the Porcupine (did you know their quills are actually kinda soft like a feather?), Simon the Alligator (who was actually a rescued pet), and Apollo the Hedgehog (who entertained my kids to the max by delivering several "SURPRISES" into the trainer's hand who was handling it).  Too funny!  My kids had the chance to ask tons of questions and learn about each one of these animals!  What an absolute blast!
Each of my kids were given a "trick or treating" bag (provided to all the trick or treater's at the park) & "make your own cookie" lunch pail and our ADVENTURE began...into the park we skipped for a fun filled day of sunshine, music, laughter, sea life and trick or treating fun!
Believe it or not, we were headed to the touch pools first (because the events didn't start till 11:00), so the kids could play with the feeder fish (despite us finding that the exhibit was closed for painting), when we bumped into Taylor.  I thought she was a DJ for the Spooktacular events, but she wasn't.  In fact, she was the biggest surprise we would have for our day.  She is an ambassador for the Parks 50th Anniversary Celebration and because we were in the RIGHT PLACE AT THE RIGHT TIME, she got to give the kids and I a special surprise!  She wasn't even sure what was inside our special card...so when the GOLD SEAL was opened, we were all so excited that we got "QUICK QUEUE PREMIER" wrist bracelets.  That meant that every show (we got premiere seating) and we got to head to the "FRONT OF THE LINE" for every ride.  AWESOMENESS!  My kids had already felt pretty special being invited to the park for the day, but this was truly the ICING ON THE CAKE (my birthday cake...since I had just celebrated this week).  What a blessing & delight!
So we did have amazing seats in every show...including the "Clyde and Seamore's SPOOKY Adventure"...which we all loved and enjoyed (and we got to see the very first showing this season).
Thanks to our Quick Queue Bracelets, we rode on the Journey to Atlantis ride three times!
And honestly, I think they would have gone ten more times!  I know they would have!
My kids stopped throughout the day to get their "TREATS" from the booths set up around the park for trick or treating, we danced to the music & took some pictures with the costumed characters and we event met a MERMAID (my girls couldn't get over how pretty she was)!  SO MUCH FUN!
We loved seeing all the other shows...too!  And our seats WERE AWESOME!  We avoided (thank goodness) the "SPLASH ZONE", yet could see all the fun details!  Up close and personal!

As always, I am impressed with the park in general!  The kids and I love to see the PERSONAL connection between the animals and their trainers.  The respect that both give to each other!  So magestic!  So amazing!  It inspires my kids!  We left the park yesterday with at least two girls who are inspired to work with animals someday!

Yet another AMAZING DAY at SeaWorld San Diego.  Thank you!  We had a blast at your Halloween Spooktacular!  Hope we can visit again soon!

I was not paid to offer my honest opinion about the SeaWorld Park, it's Halloween Spooktacular Event or any of our interactions during the day!  We were invited to the blogging breakfast and given free admission to the park for the day, so we could experience and share with my readers what their Halloween Spooktacular is all about!

Getting Into The @SpiritHalloween - In Stores and Online

Halloween will be here in just about a month!
Have you already started planning for your costumes?
Will your family be a "GROUP" theme?
Do your kids like to do their own thing?
Are you attending a party and have to be a character?
Maybe you like to be something dark and scary?

All products sent for this review/feature were went free of charge (I was provided two $25 Spirit Halloween gift cards to purchase a costume or Halloween supplies for this review/feature).  I was not offered any monetary compensation by posting my honest opinions about the store, the costumes, the employees or my experience.

Whatever you're looking for...Halloween shopping can be a tad stressful and expensive.
I was delighted to have the chance to check out Spirit Halloween's store in Murrieta today (on my birthday)...and shop through their HUGE (this is a large warehouse type store) selection of adult costumes.  I even had a personal shopper (she was so sweet and even helped me take pictures) pick out some costumes she thought would fit me best and are some of the hottest they have this Halloween Season...
and no, I'm not talking about Elsa...

All of the costumes I tried on were well constructed, had fun accessories that made the "LOOK" complete and though I may not wear all or any of these to a party...it was still fun to try them on and step out of my comfort zone a little...in the spirit of Halloween.
Did you know that Spirit Halloween offers more than just costumes?
They have just about any "SPOOKY" decoration you can think of, for a party, event or just because.  They have a huge selection of masks, pumpkin products (carving tools, lights, etc) and some majorly cool animatronics that will make you scream in fright.
Spirit Halloween also raises money for charity!
Right now, you can make a donation for #spiritofchildren, by purchasing these bracelets or just making a contribution.  I love companies that use some of their profits for a good cause!  I am thankful I was able to donate $10 towards this charity through my purchase of these bracelets as well.

So do I have your brain swirling with ideas?  Perhaps your child knows exactly what they want to be.  You can shop online (CLICK HERE) or find a store near you (CLICK HERE to find a store).  Regardless, you will find a huge selection of all the popular costumes that your family will have a blast wearing this Halloween.

I was not paid to feature this post!  I was offered two $25 SpirtHalloween gift cards to spend in their store or online, for my experience  in writing about this blog post.

#ColgateEnamelHealth - Would You Want To Know The SECRET??

I dread going to the dentist!  But I will admit...that whenever I leave their office...I always feel like smiling!  Why?  Because typically my teeth have been cleaned and polished by the hygienist and they are in perfectly smooth, shiny, tip top condition.

All products for this review/feature were sent free of charge by the company.  I was not offered any monetary compensation by posting my honest and true feelings on the products.

What about you?  Do you find that you smile more...right after you the leave the dentist office?
Of course, unless you've had something major done and you can't feel half of your face!
What if I could tell you about a product like from Colgate that's about to launch that could have you smiling like that everyday...just by simply brushing your teeth at home?
I received a fun "EXPERIMENT" review, to give me a sneak peak of the Colgate Enamel Health line and teach me more about the overall health of my teeth.
This gave me not only the opportunity to better understand why our teeth get into the condition they do (when they are not being cared for correctly), which was also a great lesson for my kids to see as well...but also try and enjoy a product that will possibly improve the overall health of my teeth and the enamel of my teeth.  I am very much a HANDS ON learner...so these types of experiments help me understand so much better than just hearing someone say it!
The experiment consisted of a piece of sandpaper, a piece of wax paper and cornmeal.  Cornmeal, as you know, is pretty rough in consistency...but when applied to the right texture...will stick.  Just like bacteria will stick to the enamel of your teeth, if you do not properly clean them.  So I tried the experiment.  And yes...obviously the cornmeal stuck to the sandpaper and fell right off the was paper.  Sometimes we are VISUAL learners and this does help me understand the concept in regards to my teeth.
The NEW Colgate® Enamel Health TM Toothpaste helps smooth enamel in two ways:
I will admit that after brushing with my new Colgate 360 Enamel Health Toothbrush (Sensitive) and the new Colgate Enamel Health Whitening Toothpaste (which I need the extra whitening help, to keep my teeth whiter...since I drink coffee)...my teeth feel clean, smooth and my overall feel of my mouth is cleaner.  I can't stop running my tongue across my teeth, because they feel so smooth and polished!  NO JOKE!  SO FAR...I am very impressed with these products.
Everyone loves to see a bright, clean smile greeting them when they come in the door, right?
I know I do!  And I know I want to be confident in my smile as well.
SO THANK YOU Colgate Enamel Health!

I like having a CONFIDENT COLGATE SMILE!
