Jennifer Pennifer ~Book Review & Giveaway~

Our kids love books! They love hearing stories that make them feel good, make them feel loved, & help them relate to the characters in the books. I also like books that teach the kids good things, help them learn to be good people, etc.
http://www.jenniferpennifer.com/

Kids will be Kids and Jennifer Pennifer from the book The Misadventures of Jennifer Pennifer is no exception. This story is about a little 5 1/2 year old girl that's imagination sometimes gets her into sticky situations. I can relate! My kids do it all the time. Sometimes it's hard to not giggle when I find them in certain predicaments, because you know that it's just a healthy curiosity that sometimes gets the in trouble. Truthfully, I could probably write a couple books about our little family experiences too. LOL!

We got the pleasure of reviewing The Misadventures of Jennifer Pennifer book. This will be the first of many books, based off of true life experiences from the author and her little girl (back when she was little). The story is lighthearted, detailed enough (but not so much that it's overwhelming to a 3 year old) and cute. It tells about a little 5 1/2 year olds day and some of the things she does...one of which causes her a little misadventure. LOL! My girls giggled as I read them the story and probably could relate to similar (but not exact) situations that they have been involved in. Like I said before...kids will be kids.

The author of The Misadventures of Jennifer Pennifer is going to make it very easy for one of you One Bored Mommy Viewers to have a autographed copy of this book. To enter the giveaway:

This giveaway will end on June 6, 2009 and is open to US residents.

I would definitely recommend you seek out this book to purchase (if you're not the winner of the giveaway) for your families library. It's one that will be read over and over again...but it has a great message and will help your kids understand acceptance even when things may not go exactly right sometimes. LOL!

Happy June! The character of Jennifer is adorable. I like the character traits that are portrayed in this book ~ it is okay to make mistakes, how to express thoughts constructively and communicate with each other.
