My Tot Clock ~ Product Review and Giveaway ~

Since we are the topic of sleeping, I think this is a great time to feature this next business!

We have a three year old that does not stay in bed all night long. Does that sound familiar to any of you readers? It never fails that half the way through the night, Payton comes searching us out to crawl into our bed and invade our personal space. LOL! It wouldn't be so bad, but she's a barrel roller and she loves to have her hands, feet and other parts all over me and my husband while we sleep. This makes for a very non-restful night's sleep for both of us parents and I know she can't be sleeping well either. She has also been fighting off her afternoon naps and this product that I am going to tell you about will work wonders for both...
http://www.mytotclock.com/

I was first introduced to MY TOT CLOCK by a mommy business owner who was having trouble with her own daughter sleeping. She purchased this clock as a means to save her sanity and hopefully help her get a good nights sleep.

White Dove Innovations has given our family the chance to review the MY TOT CLOCK for ourselves. The first day it arrived, we tried it out for nap time. I got it all set up (my kids sleep on our couch and chair in the living room for naptime, so I can keep an eye on them) for Payton for naptime. She has been fighting nap time for about 4 months now. She really still needs a nap, but she fights it. The MY TOT CLOCK lights up certain colors for certain times. When the clock is blue, it's time to sleep. I explained this to Payton and told her that when the clock turned yellow, she could get up from nap time. Wanna know what happened? She actually took a nap!

So...I was very excited to try it out at bedtime, since the naptime procedure worked so well!

One of the features that the MY TOT CLOCK offers is a bedtime story, music and white noise while the child is sleeping (which also helps put them back to sleep if they wake up in the middle of the night). So I got the girls all tucked into bed and turned on the MY TOT CLOCK. The story started (you can buy different story cartridges that tell different fairytales and play different music) and the girls got quiet and cozy. I am very pleased to announce that by the time the white noise had started...both girls were sound asleep, snoring in their beds. OH HAPPY DAYS!!

I Love the MY TOT CLOCK! LOVE IT!!

The first night we tried it out...Payton stayed in bed all night long...was it a miracle? Nope...I think she was just comforted by the noise, she saw that the light hadn't turned yellow (so she wasn't allowed out of bed) and the MY TOT CLOCK did it's job. Totally worth every cent invested...because I got a lot more sleep in my bed, without someone's feet in my face and arm across my chest. Every night since, we have had wonderful results (with the exception of a few pee pee accidents).

I have to tell you...my seven year old son is jealous that he doesn't have a MY TOT CLOCK in his room for bedtime. He wants to hear the stories, the music and the white noise too. LOL!!

The MY TOT CLOCK can also be personalized by purchasing additional stories (like I mentioned before) and faceplates for the front of the clock. This is a great way to help your child establish ownership with their MY TOT CLOCK. It also keeps things fun and interesting for your child.

White Dove Innovations is giving away a MY TOT CLOCK to one Lucky One Bored Mommy Viewer. To enter this giveaway, you must first go to their website at http://www.mytotclock.com/ and look around. Please come back and tell me (1) of the following:

* Why do you need the MY TOT CLOCK (share with us a story)?
* What story cartridge do you think would be the biggest hit with your child?
* What faceplate would your child want for his/her MY TOT CLOCK?

This giveaway will end on May 8, 2009. Please be sure to leave your e-mail address so you can be notified if you are the winner of the giveaway. Entries without e-mail addresses will be disqualified. One Entry Per Person.

Thank you White Dove Innovations for introducing my family to the MY TOT CLOCK. I hope that by reviewing this product, I can help other fatigued mommies and daddies get a good nights rest after they purchase your product. Especially since I can vouge that it really works.

What a terrific idea! Staying in bed is always a struggle, this is one of the "Why didn't I think of that ideas!" We would have to get the sports themed faceplate and the Hare and the Tortoise story, just because it is a really good one!

This clock looks amazing, but I am very sad that there is no faceplate with any kind of vehicle featured. It seems obvious from the ballarina and princess faceplates that the creators mainly have daughters, but I am still surprised that they wouldn't have realized how much little boys love things with engines. Cars, trucks, boats, airplanes, anything! In any case, I would choose the barnyard faceplate because there is nothing with vehicles on it to choose.

This product would be great because my daughter has a habit of getting out of bed multiple times before actually going to sleep. I think this product would help her to stay in bed and go to sleep. Her favorite faceplate would be Under the Sea and her favorite story would be Sleeping Beauty.

I am sorry if this ends up being a dublicate..I don't think my comment went through.

I was saying what a great thing this would be for my daughter. She has hard times sleeping her whole little life. Right now she is in a toddler bed so of course she can get out really easy. We always hear her up playing with her toys. I think this would be great for her. She loves music and stories so I think this would be perfect for her.

She would probably love the butterfly template.

I would love to get this for my son so that he knows when it's okay to get up. He sometimes wakes up in the middle of the night and comes in our room to ask if it's time to get up. Since he can't read a clock this would be perfect for him to just look at and know it's still time to sleep.

I've so wished I could afford one of these for friends. Their daughter gets up at 5:30 or 6 every morning -- and they are Americans living overseas in a country that doesn't "start" until about 10 am! Being able to win this for them would score me huge points when I visit them later this year.

Oh my goodness - what a fabulous idea! My son is nearly 3 and comes into our bed regularly. We are currently having difficulty getting him to understand now too that it is bedtime even though the sun is still shining. He only wants to sleep when the sun sleeps but summer's coming and he certainly needs more sleep than that! I would choose the princess and the pea story. I know my son would love the dinosaur faceplate.

Oh gosh, I need this clock. My little one doesn't understand bedtime and has started manipulating and drawing it out. If I could say, we can read until the clock turns blue and then you have to go to bed - that would be awesome! She understands rules when there is something physical attached to them like a beeping clock for potty time, etc.

Oh I need this so that my daughter will know when it is okay to get out of bed - and I need it before school gets out for the summer! I have to pull her out of bed to get ready for school every day at 6:30 but on the weekend she comes bouncing down the stairs anywhere from 4:30 am to 5:30 am ready to play and thinking it is time to get up!

This would help my son better grasp the concept of sleep and nighty, night time. He oftentimes wants to nap at bedtime, which doesn't make any of us happy! The dinosaur faceplate would be a definite hit in my household and the tortoise and the hare cartridge would be his favorite.

I absolutely need this clock now!!! Actually, I needed it yesterday....seriously! My 2 and a half year old still does not sleep through the night and I am one tired momma :( She is getting closer, but we are still not there. Where we live sunset is already at 9PM and sunrise is before 6, which totally confuses my daughter. This clock could really be a life saver for us in helping her to figure out when it is sleeping time! The white noise feature is also a plus considering her bedroom shares a wall with the stairwell and our neighbors are not always so quiet. I don't care what the faceplate looks like, I just need the clock's working features!!!

justicecw said...

This would be great for my son and I am sure he would love the dinosaur faceplate. He really likes to listen to music when falling asleep but it seems like the second the music is over he wakes up and yells for me to start it again. This would help him with the music/white noise feature and an added bonus to get him to stay in bed! :) Thanks for the chance, justicecw@hotmail.com

Either the Under the Sea or the Butterflies faceplate... The Goldilocks and the Three Bears story.. now to the story... This would actually be great for more than one reason... TIMEOUTS! he fusses all the time but maybe this would be the thing that gets in to sit and do the Time... He has also been giving us a hassle at bed time now (thinking it's because of the baby) so I think he would feel special that he has it and stay in bed and sleep.. Plus when he out grows it it would just be about time for his little sister to start using it... weeshenanigans(at)gmail(dot)com

This clock could be a life saver for us! DD is and has always been a terrible sleeper. Things have gotten even more complicated lately as it is still light out before she goes to bed and the sun comes up before it is wake up time. This clock would help her to figure out when it is time to sleep and when it is time to get up. I also like the white noise feature, considering we have neighbors who are often quite noise and wake my daughter. We would be happy with any of the face plates! teeg1973 @ gmail.com
