FYI To My READERS...

It's offical...my computer "ol' Bessie", her hard drive officially bit the dust. The Geek Squad could not repair the problems with her hardrive and unfortunately, this means that we have to computer shop and purchase a new computer. I have been blogging from my husband's work laptop at night when he gets home...but I can't upload my amazing pictures from my fabulous product reviews, etc. on my husband's work laptop. My fingers are crossed that the new PC will be purchased soon...so I can get busy and back to blogging HARDCORE...but I wanted to give you the heads up if it seems to slow down here for a few days.

I'm SO SORRY! I really felt like this blogspot had picked up some amazing momentum in the past couple weeks...don't you agree?

ONE SICK COMPUTER!!

Just a heads up to all my fabulous readers! My 7 year old PC that I blog on (an oldie but a goodie) is VERY, VERY SICK! Sadly, I must disconnect it today and take it to the shop to be repaired (fingers crossed). I will be blogging from my husband's work laptop at night (when he gets home from work), so I will still be "semi-functional" while it's being worked on! Silikids "Silipads"~ Product Review ~

We are still adjusting to having hardwood floors in our home. We have always had carpet when our little ones were learning how to crawl. Now that we have moved and only have hardwood and Mason is starting the crawling stage, I feel so bad for his little knees. It has to hurt to be on them all day long with nothing to protect them. As the summer time is approaching, and shorts weather is not far off, I know they are really going to take a beating.

Silikids make a product that just might change things for us...the product is called "Silipads". Silipads are little knee protectors with a silicone center that help guard their little knees from crawling & falling that occurs as our little ones gain their mobility and independence.

We got the fabulous opportunity to review a pair of Silipads for Mason. The first thing I noticed is that they are stretchy and have a lot of give, so I won't worry about them cutting off his leg circulation as he wears them during the day while he's crawling around. Secondly, he seemed to have better traction on his knees than without, because the silicone helps grab the floor as he moves. Which makes him a better crawler right away. Thirdly, he seemed a lot happier wearing them. Of course, it might have just been mommy with a camera, so he was full of smiles, but he really didn't mind it all at. He hasn't grabbed at them or pulled on them since we put them on and he gets plenty of floor time to try them out.

The verdict, every parent who has a child that is crawling or nearing that stage needs to buy a pair of Silipads right now. Maybe you should even buy two so when one pair gets dirty you can alternate. This is going to save your little one's knees from getting sore and irritated from crawling around all day. I can't count the endless times I have picked a sippy cup off the floor at a restaurant cause it's been dropped on accident or thrown on purpose. LOL!! It grosses me out because I am a true believer that those germs belong on the ground and not on my child's sippy cup. I have got to say, at dinner, it saved Mason's sippy cup from hitting the floor about 30 times. Isn't that awesome? No exaggeration (it could have been more)! Plus, when he was finished with his sippy cup, I hooked his toy caterpiller through it and guess what...it helped keep it off the floor and the germs (those nasty pests) stayed on the floor where they belong. YAY!! This also kept him nice and quiet cause his toy was always within reach...and he was truly enthralled with the fact that it was hanging on his chair.

My New Favorite Piece of Jewelry...

I am proud to be a mommy of four! In case you didn't know that...I'm going to announce it to all my viewers...because it's probably one of my fondest accomplishments. LOL!! Two New Cd's you Must Check out...

Sugar Mountain PR sent the kids and I two new CD's to check out and tell you guys about.

The first one is from a group called ROCKNOCEROS and the title of this new album is "Pink". Totally perfect for my two girls, since every (or almost every) little girl loves the color pink. This CD is fun and entertaining, featuring songs that teach important things...like stopping & looking before crossing the street. Their songs are written to entertain & hold the interest of children and after listening and watching my kids...I think they have succeeded in doing so. LOL!! These songs also discuss good grooming (one song is called, "Cut My Hair") and some are touching, like the song "Always Tell Grandma". I would recommend that you seek out this "PINK" album for your CD collection today! "Pink" became available on April 18th, 2009.

The second one is from a group called Putumayo Kids Presents and it's called "European Playground". This CD takes you on a fun filled musical tour of Europe, without leaving the comfort of your own living room, bedroom or car. LOL! The songs are fun to listen to, muliticultural and feature liners in four different languages (English, Spanish, French & German). If you're a parent like me, you enjoy your children being cultured and exposed to different ethnic traditions and languages. I think it makes a child well rounded and more accepting. Anyway, this is another fabulous CD you need to check out when it's released on May 19.

They have stripes of aqua blue, dark blue, yellow and light green. The soles are a faux brown suede. Can I just say...they are sewn immaculately and you can tell she takes pride in her workmanship. Mason loved his new shoes and so did I. These will work great for his Spring Time wardrobe.

We (the kids and I) got the pleasure of reviewing two of their fantastic books and one of their CD's. I adore the books. ABSOLUTELY ADORE THEM! They are amazingly written, they hold a child's interest and have such a wonderful message. We read the books through twice, once with "Thumbuddy" as the main character and then once with "Payton" as the main character. She ATE IT UP! Since she's only three...I think that reading these books can really make an impression on the person she will become someday! It's nice to know that I can be giving her some reinforcement and encouragement in believing in herself and loving who she is as a person.

Thumb People offer several amazing and uplifting books for parents to interact and read with their children. Their business is one of encouragement and hope. Hunk-Ta-Bunk-Ta ~ Product Review~

I love to see my kids smile. Nothing warms a mother's heart more. Even better than that...I love to hear my kids giggle and laugh and have a great time. I think I have said this before, but I will say it again...I LOVE MUSIC. I think because I like music so much, my kids have started to aquire a passion for it too. Let me first say...this lady is GENIUS and an extremely talented musician. Her music is upbeat, fun and energetic & at the same time involves the child's imagination and body to the rhythm.

We had the priveledge of reviewing a few (four) of her amazing CD's. We got Funsies volume 1, Funsies 2, Hunk-Ta-Bunk-Ta Boo! and Hunk-Ta-Bunk-Ta Boo 2.

Here are some things I really like about her CD's. The song lyrics are included in the CD, so you can follow along and sing with the CD even before you have it memorized (from repetition...kids like to listen to things they like over and over again). Her music moves your whole body, your mind and your voice. LOVE ALL THREE! Some of her songs are re-made/updated versions of songs I remember singing when I was little...which is fun for me. My kids giggled and giggled and giggled...even from the very first song I played. They especially liked the TICKLEBUG song on the Funsies 2 CD. Even the baby (who is only 7 months) was laughing and playing along. These are CD's you can play at home, in the car or anywhere you are.

She has an amazing website with lots of great info, you can print the song lyrics, you can see where & when she's touring, you can get sneak peeks of her songs and more.
