I have always had a soft spot for the "HOMELESS & HUNGRY" in our nation. I don't know why, but even as a little girl (you can ask my family), I would walk up to a homeless person on the street and hug them. Since I've been married, I've even talked my husband into going with me to a park (with our two kids) and feeding an entire park (in a horrible neighborhood) a free lunch. Talk about a huge blessing! More for us than for the people we fed.
It's so hard for me to imagine not having something to eat. Can you? Can you imagine knowing that you don't have the money to buy food for your kids to eat? Knowing that they are going to go to bed with empty stomachs? Talk about heart breaking, right? It happens a lot more often than you realize, or people care to think about!

I am officially a
"Blogger in Caring" for ShopRite's
"Partner's In Caring Program". I am joining with them to
“Blog It Forward To Fight Hunger”!
What is Partner's In Care? Glad you should ask...it is a year-round, community-based, hunger-fighting initiative that works with more than 50 food industry manufacturers to provide $2 million annually to qualified charitable agencies in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Delaware, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts and Rhode Island. They have been doing this for the past 10 years. Making a difference in people's lives by providing them with something to eat.
How can you Help?Support ShopRite Partners In Caring by shopping at your local ShopRite, and look for the special
ShopRite Partners In Caring shelf tag. The manufacturers of these products will make a donation to ShopRite Partners In Caring, contributing to the program and its success.
You can also help by leaving a comment on this blogspot. The
first 30 comments on this specific blogspot (with your name included) will make a tremendous difference!
So please tell me what you can do to make a difference in your neighborhood? ShopRite & General Mills will donate a box of cereal to a foodbank in your honor. Isn't that cool? And such a simple thing that can make such a huge impact on someone that is hungry & in need.
