Addresssing The Issues With Totsy - From Their CEO

As most of you know, I recently did a review/feature of a company called Totsy. They offer "SALES" on brand names for babies, children and women and their prices are AMAZING! It is INVITATION ONLY, but 100% free to join!

Anyway, after finding that I was getting lots of negative comments regarding shipping issues and customer service problems with the company...I got in contact with someone who could ease everyone's mind a little (hopefully)! Their CEO responded to me with this information:
TOTSY is definitely experiencing longer delays to deliver than what we originally planned. We have also encountered many delays from the brand delivery side. As you know in order to sell the product at a very high discount and best price, we order the product to the brand right after we sold it to a client. We therefor have to wait to receive those goods at our warehouse. And this can take sometime up to 2 weeks. The day we receive the goods we ship it to the customer so we cannot do better on that side.

I am totally aware we absolutely need to improve this shipping time and I can tell you we are doing our best to reach that goal on a daily basis. We have also recently recruited new people on the logistic and customer service side to answer to all queries and to the very high volume of order.

Yes, buying on private sales means you need to wait longer to get your items (10 to 15 business days). Sometime brands takes one more week to ship and those delays goes up a bit. But in all case we always provide the best products at the best price across the internet. TOTSY is a trusted brand by thousands of happy moms and will always work on improving it's customer satisfaction.


Please keep in mind...that I really believe that TOTSY is trying to get all the kinks worked out to better serve us all! And my hope is that I will be getting the products I ordered from them in a timely manner as well...and will be able to report back positive feedback to support that improvement!

Sometimes you have to wait a little longer for a better deal! Keep that in mind when you are shopping on
Totsy's website!

I wanted to say that I love the website TOTSY.COM.

I ordered 3 times and always received my orders. One order was late (1 week) but the good were perfect!

Also I think they definitely have the best brands at the best price...

SO I am happy to wait a bit more !

I am SO ANGRY with TOTSY right now. I placed my first order 4 weeks ago, they charged my card immediately, I cannot get a response via online or phone...and no one is answering their 888#. Personally, I feel like I've been scammed by a shaddy website.

I agree with KAL. Totsy had no problem charging my credit card 4 days after my order but it seems impossible to get them to reply an email. I placed my order over a month ago and still haven't gotten anything and heard no word from them. I understand that in order to guarantee lower prices the delivery time is longer, but it is unacceptable the way they deal with customers. I just want to cancel my order and NEVER EVER buy from them again.

I have to say that I placed my order on 5/7/10. Totsy charged my account on 5/9/10 and to date I have not recieved my order. I have called with no luck in speaking to a customer service person and I have tried emailing with no response. I understand that items could take 10-15 days but it has been 30 days. That is unacceptable. I will not recommend this site to my friends regardless of the deep discounts.

I placed an order 4 weeks ago and I have not received it. My credit card has also been charged. Totsy customer service will not answer my phone calls nor will they reply by email when I ask to check order status. After reading the above response, the "CEO" needs to get to work! At this point, they are a scam. I would not recommend them to a friend now.

I am starting to think they are really a scam. They charge me right a way when I place the order, but the order never comes,(though I have received a few orders) when I finally get tired of waiting I send an email asking about the status, and they then offer a refund. If I never said anything they would just keep my money. I'm so aggravated. If they are a legit business they need a better system.

I read some of your comments and I have to say that I was very surprised to learn that some of you were unsatisfied with TOTSY.
I ordered 5 times from them and only had to wait 4 weeks for one of my purchases. My other items came with no problems and I love them all!!
When I called their customer service hotline they were very efficient and understanding.
This occurred 2 month ago and I have not had any problems since then. I have already spread the word about TOTSY to many of my friends, and I would truly recommend TOTSY to everyone reading this comment.

I also had an incident with Totsy. Mistakenly, order had been misplaced, but after contacting Totsy via Facebook, I was very satisfied with the customer service they provided me. They upgraded my order to two day shipping and I received it just in time for my daughter’s birthday. I was a little worried I wouldn’t get it in time but thanks to Totsy’s excellent services we were able to have a perfect day!

Personally, I have never had any problems with them. I have known this website for 3 month and have already bought twice on it. I have made great deals and I love it.

I think you should not accuse totsy of sending people to your blog because these people didn’t have the same experience as you.
They may just be moms posting on their own about their satisfaction with totsy, as I did on this blog.

I have now waited 4+ weeks for my Totsy order. I have tried to contact them my email and phone. I am going to file a dispute with my credit card company and try to get my money back. Try shopping with Zulily. I have never had any problems there.

I wish I would have read this blog post and comment thread BEFORE I placed my totsy order! It has been 5 weeks since I placed an order and I have heard nothing and received no shipping notice or responses to inquiries about my order. Just wish they'd answer the phone or an email once in a while. :-(

I recently ordered for Totsy, well not recently, I placed my order on June 22, 2010 and just recieved it yesterday... August 3rd 2010!!! Yes it took that long! I was really worried, I looked all over the internet for reviews on Totsy and kept seeing it was a scam, I emailed them once and got a response, but then emailed 3 more times and absolutely nothing! So I tried to call, the number on the site is no good, I googled and googled and finally found a working number where a girl answered very unprofessionally! All she said was "hello"... I mean is that how a business telephone should be answered? I had to ask if it was Totsy. Twice she told me my stuff was shipped to me and the second time was when I finally got it! I do love the stuff I got and the prices are unbeatable, but I will probably never use Totsy again just for the simple fact of being ignored when I emailed and not getting answers about my orders! I understand it takes a long time, but a simple reassurance or acknowledgement would have been nice! It's not a scam, you will get your stuff, and yes it does take FOREVER and I was told they now have tracking on the "improved" website so that helps, but the customer service is horrific! I don't shop where I can tell my business is obviously not needed or wanted!!

I am seriously wondering if those who had a good experience with Totsy are just lucky. I, like so many others, have had a negative experience, and will never order from them again. I understand it taking 10-15 days to receive an order, and I have no problem with that. I've ordered from other non-kid sites (ideeli, hautelook, ruelala, etc.) and don't mind the time it takes. But with those sites, at least they keep me informed if the shipping is going to take longer than expected. I waited more than 30 days for my Totsy order without hearing a word. Finally I emailed about it, and I did get a response but it did not explain why it was taking so long. Then I finally get part of the order and it's incorrect. So now I have to wait for them to send me the return shipping label, and I'll probably end up waiting another month to get my correct order. I also emailed them to ask where the rest of my order is, and was told that I'll be receiving a refund for that part because the supplier "didn't send enough product." Um, when were they planning on telling me this? I'm upset because I really was looking forward to getting one of the items for my son. They will not get my future business, and I hope their horrible way of doing business gets them exactly what they deserve!

I would be very careful when dealing with Totsy. Twice I was sent an email with promises of 'full refund in process' with assurances and apologies and pleas for patience as they grow. However, the refund was never processed and today, after 1.5 months, I was able to speak to a confused company rep. who told me that there is no record of such refund promising emails or even an incomplete order/shipment. They have struck out at every turn from the moment I gave them money for items...their problems as a company are beyond growing pains or longer shipping times...well beyond.

I'm dealing with a nightmarish situation with Totsy - still haven't improved on shipping times, AND sent me the wrong item. I wonder how long it will take after I ship it back to get the correct item? HA! I guess I can kiss that money goodbye.

I to have ordered from Totsy and have been waiting over a month for my order even though it was charged to my card immediately. I have not received the order and the "new and improved" website doesn't even reflect that I have an order in the order history. I called and got the girl that answers "hello" and she asked for my order number, which isn't on the confirmation email be the way. She did locate my order and told me that it was being shipped that week. It is now a week later and still no email with the tracking number or the package and I cannot get anyone to answer the phone or return any emails.

I have order from places with the same special sales like rue la la and gilt groupe with no issues and have always received updated order statues, responses to any inquiries, etc.

My unborn child will be too big for his 3-6 month clothes by the time I receive my order from totsy. I have called my credit card company to dispute the charges.

I will NEVER order again from Totsy, so many other great sites.

Totsy was a wonderful website - yes it was slow but, since the "upgraded" web site nothing but bad news.
My first order - a baby blanket & two bodysuits. Apparently when they shipped them to my friend - the blankey was the only thing she got. the bodysuits were shipped to someone else - when asked (two months later) I only received $10 credit - each body suit was $7.99.
I didn't receive any of my credits when they transferred over - so, my last two purchases have been without the $15 credits.
I have contacted them countless times. I ordered a backpack for my son (7/23) they informed me that "Sorry for the delay but, your item will ship this week 8/16"
I asked if they (Totsy) would upgrade shipping for the inconvience - their reply "What shipping to you pay for" I have two orders I am waiting on and they will be the last. Customer service is not their priority. So sad - I really enjoyed Totsy too.

Mine is horrible I can't get them to refund me and every time I do actually get them to respond to me it is a big game of let's pass the buck because NOTHING is our fault. Ugggh I loathe Totsy!

I am so angry with Totsy I can't even vent for fear I am going to have another fit. Do not order from them. They do not return phone calls or e-mails and I am still waiting for an order I placed on July 1st! To top it off, in the one e-mail I did receive they told me they misplaced part of my order but... that's OK because they accidentally doubled the quantity of another item product that I ordered and that the value will cancel each other out? That's a with problem in a company ethos when they believe they can make executive decisions like that and get away with it. But what are you supposed to do when no one calls you back?

Normally I wouldn't leave a review, but like others, my experience with Totsy hasn't been positive. I placed orders on
7-26-10 & 8-3-10 and have not received either order as of 9-9-10.
I also never received sale confirmation emails, any updates and like another blog it didn't show in open orders in Totsy account. They did, however charge my card right away. They also didn't respond to any emails. Once I talked with them on the phone about 2 1/2 weeks ago she said merchandise came in and will be ready to ship. That was 2 1/2 weeks ago and no tracking email or shipment. That is far from what the CEO mentioned above. I will never purchase from Totsy again. I agree there are to many other sights to do business with. It's just not worth the few dollars in savings to deal with a company like this!!

Please do not order from them. By the time you receive the order, if you receive it at all, your child has probably outgrown the item(s) that you ordered. Placed orders twice, and both times the order has not shipped within 6 weeks. I get no answer by phone or email. Very Poor service.

I placed 2 orders with Totsy and have not received either of them. It has been over a month for one and 26 days for the other. I received no communication on status after my first two inquiries at 3 weeks +. Today I received this comment from Totsy.

The" product is at our warehouse undergoing quality and quantity inspections. We expect it to ship out by the end of this week." “All Sales Are Final” unless defective or damaged, and we ask that you allow approximately 3 to 4 weeks delivery from date on which “Sale Closes”

There is no mention of this prior to ordering. And as I read your discussion with the CEO he states it should take 1-2 weeks. Definitely not reliable! Great idea but needs much more perfecting before I would consider it a good risk.

I placed an order in late August and as of the first weekend in October, it still hadn't arrived. I have called and left messages and sent emails -- never reached a live person and never received a response on any. I finally filed a complaint with the BBB since my credit card was charged immediately and I still didn't have my item. Miraculously, the next day I received a confirmation email that my order had shipped. I will NEVER use this site again and have discouraged everyone I know from doing so.

I did two different orders and spent a good penny over two months ago. They charged me and haven't seen anything or even received a call back from my messages. Won't ever buy from them again. Calling my bank to get a refund. I was really hoping they weren't scammers.

Why oh why did I not do my research before ordering from Totsy! I ordered shoes for my little girl and it has been 4 weeks and the status is still pending! I know this is nothing compared the wait time others have experienced, but keep in mind I am still waiting! Now I fear that not only will the shoes i ordered be out of season by the time we get them, but even worse they will not fit her. I guess you live and learn! I better warn the friends I've referred because they're going to hate me after not getting their orders for 2 months!

I will NEVER order from Totsy again! I placed an order for Wee Squeak shoes on 9/21. 7 weeks later I have only received two pairs of shoes with no hope of receiving the rest. Their customer service is absolutely terrible. They never answer their phone and I have to send repeated emails to get a responds. I finally figured out that by writing a comment on their Facebook page they respond rather quickly. I ordered 5 pairs of shoes, but have only received 2 pairs. I was told by customer service that one pair was unavailable and I was also promised a refund on one of my shipping charges. They did not issue a credit until I sent repeated emails. Last night I finally received my refund notification, but the amount was incorrect and for some bazaar reason my sister's information was listed under the billing information. My sister and I have different last names and we live in different states. I cannot believe a company can stay in business being so unorganized. I am also still waiting on two pairs of shoes. My latest email from Totsy states that they shipped those shoes. They gave me a tracking number and suggest I take it up with the shipper, ridiculous! I did receive this shipment, but only one pair of shoes was in the shipment. I have a very bad feeling that my so-called great deal for Wee Squeak shoes is going to end up costing me retail price if they don't refund me for these shoes or send them to me.

BEWARE OF TOTSY! I will never shop there again no matter how good of a deal it is. It is just not worth the hassle and frustration.

I have had nothing but BAD experiences dealing with Totsy. Every order I have placed took more than 6 weeks to arrive, and it is impossible to get in touch with customer service by phone or email unless you complain on their Facebook site where other potential customers will see it. They respond very quickly to those complaints and remove them before other potential customers can see them. Try checking out their Facebook page in the evenings. You will see many complaints. When Totsy employees check it out in the morning, they remove all negative comments. I tried convincing myself that the prices made it worth the wait and hassle, but I have found Zulily.com which offers the same deals, a better selection of designers, and MUCH better turnaround time for orders and great customer service.

I also wanted to say that the CEO's response stating that they ship items the same day they receive them from the brands is a flat-out lie. I can't tell you how many times they have told me they received the items and they were currently "sorting in their warehouse," only for me to wait for the order for another couple of weeks, if I receive it at all. They do NOT ship the same day they receive the items. Not even close.

ok some of the comments here were posted by the TOTSY workers!
I ordered 3 times from totsy! the first order arrived a month and a half late! so I got a refund for the shipping, the second one took a month and so did the third!
no one EVER picks up the phone and one of the guys named Emmanuel was so rude! the facebook fan page has a lot of BAD comments on it but Audrey will remove any comment right away!
you will get your items but please order the next size up if u buy any cloths for your kids.

Websites like Totsy should NOT be in business. They do not appreciate your service, nor do they care about your concerns.

I have been waiting over a month for my orders, and I still haven't received anything. Customer service has stopped responding to my e-mails all together. I ordered October 12, 2010 it is now November 28, 2010. I had to contact the BBB. Hopefully now I get some responses. Despite what others are saying, the deals are not worth the headache and wait. I rather pay full price to have my items in time for the holidays.

I don't see how they advertise for Christmas when there is no way people will get those items in time to put under their tree. They nee to be honest with consumers.

I am beyond frustrated with Totsy. And after a quick google search was not at all surprised to find this blog with so many comments of bad experiences!
My 1st order took 5 weeks to arrive, which I thought was bad, but I attributed it to a glitch in their system. Well, order number 2, placed in early October, has YET to arrive. I have called and left messages - no response. I have emailed multiple times, no response. Finally, I sent another email canceling my order. Suddenly I received a shipment notification! What a surprise. And of course, I am sure my child will have outgrown the clothes by the time they arrive. I have other orders pending (I placed the orders within weeks of each other before realizing there was a problem). I will tell everyone I know to avoid this site UNTIL they get their act together. Stick with the other baby sale sites out there instead. There are plenty of good ones to choose from, and they actually ship right away! Amazing!
Totsy has cute stuff, great quality. But they need to be willing to buy their inventory outright BEFORE posting it for sale. And then running some super sales with whatever is left over. What they're doing now isn't working. It would be another thing entirely if they sold products for adults - but kids change so quickly!

They are doing business ALL wrong. I've had the similar experience to all the complaints. Horrible shipping time (still haven't recieved the two orders I placed over 4 weeks ago) and even worse customer service. They removed comments from their Facebook and have awful reviews all over the Internet-- including a F rating from the BBB. I've unliked them on FB and will never order from them again. And you can bet I'm telling all my friends about it.

I did a post on Totsy's horrible customer service back in August and sad to say, I am still getting many comments from unsatisfied customers. It's been 7 months+ since your post, so it's inexcusable that they haven't made progress on this problem since then.

I found your post because after having trouble with them I googled "problems with Totsy ordering" and came across your post. I agree with you - I ordered something 5 weeks ago, inquired about it 1 week ago, and still have heard nothing from the company. I have called their customer service number several times and they don't even answer. They just have a prerecorded message saying they are busy and that you should email them. I have never ordered anything online without receiving a tracking number or estimation of when it would arrive. There are so many other websites out there that are doing what Totsy does, but SO much better. I order from babysteals and kidsteals, and they come extremely fast. Same with Woot and DailySteals - not to mention Groupons and other daily deals. I won't be patronizing Totsy anymore.

I have had a horrible experience with Totsy and now I know I'm not the only one (also check out their reviews on rateitall.com and the better business bureau (gave them an F)). I only received half my order but they charged me for the full order. When I sent an email to customer service to explain the issue, the response I received was that I received my order all ready. Furious that the issue of an incomplete order wasn't even addressed, I tried calling the customer service line for over an hour only to be kicked to voicemail every time. Now that I have left a voicemail and several emails, I haven't heard a word from them. Beside the fact that it took over 6 weeks to get only half my order, I could maybe forgive them if they didn't scam me out of my money by not sending me my entire order. I will never shop there again and will never recommend them to anyone.

DO NOT ORDER FROM TOTSY. They are the worst retail site on the web. I placed an order for 3 pairs of shoes in mid-October. I expected them last month, but they finally arrived in mid-December! The icing on the cake is that there is only ONE pair of shoes in the box. Argh! No replies to phone calls or e-mails. I will be disputing their charge through my credit card company and returning their shoes. And warning all my friends not to use their website.

Dammit! I wish I had thought to research them before wasting my money. I ordered an item about a month and a half ago, got a confirmation for the wrong size. Contacted the company by phone and email immediately. Their reply was to reorder with the correct size and they would refund the first one. I was actually gonna do it, but the sale had ended. I tried contacting them again, but got no further response until I left a negative message on their facebook page. That prompted "Jennifer" to message me, which led to a customer service rep contacting me saying give the order more time to arrive. I replied stressing the fact that I was concerned about the SIZE not the ship date. No reply. I emailed again a few week later and received tracking information from UPS soon after. The order arrived two days ago and it's THE WRONG SIZE (too small). I immediately wrote an email to the company about how disappointed I am that such a simple process and order could be mucked up and misunderstood like this. I've also left "Jennifer" another facebook message. These people get the big BOOOOOOO!

Same song, 156th verse! Ordered extra early, Nov 11th,so to be sure to receive TOYS, not clothes, b4 Christmas! Still nothing! Disputed charges w bank of America and they even had a 646-861-1333 number listed for billing inquiries, and it too was out of service! Scam biz in my book and now am scrambling for 5 gifts in holiday rush!!! Stay away! Go with zulily!!

This is unreal - how is Totsy allowed to continue to do business? I ordered items for Christmas presents on Nov. 1 and they still haven't arrived. I've called and emailed and have only received one response where they said their system indicates all items (except one) were shipped, which of course is not the case! And like everyone else, they already have their money. I don't mind waiting and expect that, and while I understand their position for not being able to improve shipping times, that in no way should excuse THE WORST/NON-EXISTENT CUSTOMER SERVICE. I wish I would have seen this site first until deciding to check them out in the midst of a mess. I too am warning everyone to avoid Totsy.

Totsy is the worst website I have ever ordered from in not only delivery, but also customer service. My order has taken 7 weeks thus far to arrive and will not even be here in time for Christmas. The customer service barely gets back to you and there is not even a phone number to allow you to get in touch with a person to help. I will NEVER order from them again and will do my best to spread the word about how bad this site stinks.

I actually think this website is a scam also and should be out of business. I am surprised the better business bureau has not yet closed it down.

I am like many of you - wanted my order in time for Christmas and ordered in OCTOBER! They took my money and I have no product to show for it. Hundereds of dollars because the prices seemed good. I urge you all to report Totsy to the New York Attorney General's office!

The very first order of children's shoes placed in mid-October STILL have not arrived and it's 3 days before the end of the year. The shoes didn't make it for family travel Thanksgiving, my daughter's birthday a couple of weeks ago and now Christmas. I will not use this service EVER again and have made a strong appeal for a refund, regardless of previously posted policies. The last message received yesterday from Jennifer @ Totsy was, "I apologize sincerely for this inconvenience. Over the last couple of months, Totsy has been experiencing some growing pains that has caused us to fall behind a bit, but we are undergoing some changes now that will allow us to bring you great products in a timely manner. I will be sure to forward your inquiry to our customer service department. Thank you so much for your patience."

I concur with Hilary. It's time to report them to the authorities.

It took 9 weeks to get my order, which is way more than the 3-5 weeks they stated on their website. They do not respond to emails and they do not answer the phone. Too much aggravation for me. I will never order from TOTSY again.

Not sure if the kinks are out yet. I placed an order on Dec 18, and the expected ship date was Jan 5. The order has still not shipped as of Jan 16 -- over 2 weeks later. I have phoned and emailed multiple times, with no response. It's pretty frustrating, because you are unsure whether you should order the items elsewhere. I just told them to cancel my order, and if my credit card is charged, I will dispute it.

Needless to say, I would NEVER ORDER from them again! I have used the other flash sales sites (Zulily and the Mini Social and Rue La La) with no problems.

I just filed a complaint with BBB about Totsy. I received a faulty product (a baby jumper with the snaps broken off) in October and am still going round and round with Totsy about a refund. I was told they would send a shipping label for a return, then they wanted me to take pictures, then I saw where they forwarded the email for the shipping label to someplace internally but I received a generic email stating there is not enough information to "determine the nature of my inquiry" Argh!!!

I had a horrible experience with totsy too. I'm going to file a complaint with BBB. It took them 9 months to refund my money for a product I never received, and in the process I was treated horribly, received form emails that had other customer's information attached, and could never get someone on the phone despite numerous attempts.

i have to say that i have had some pretty big issues with totsy as well. i ordered a jacket for my son in the middle of december and, as of february 12th, i'm still waiting. i understand that you have to wait a couple of weeks with these types of sales, but a couple of months is absurd! this is not the first time i've had problems with their service, this is just the worst case scenario. i have had very positive experiences with minisocial and zulily fyi..they live up to the 2 week delivery!

Yet another Totsy victim. I ordered on February 14, 2011. I was told the shipping date was March 11. It's now March 22 and my order has not even moved into the "pre-shipment" phase. I ordered $200 worth of maternity clothes for my maternity photos and baby shower. What a waste because I won't have them in time. I have tried contacting Totsy through email, the Help Desk, the "customer service" hotline (joke), and Facebook. I have not heard one peep from the company except a computer generated response. I do 95% of my shopping online and Totsy is the WORST!
Their shipping is slow and even worse - they send on PARTIAL orders. I received pants on a set but the jacket was "out of stock" so now I am stuck with half a set.
Their prices are also not that great. Do yourself a favor and check items out on google or amazon before purchasing.

I guess I will be the latest "victim" of Totsy . I placed an order with them march 28th , it was suppose to be shipped on april 26th , but did not . My credit card was charged that day , even though in the FAQ it states that the credit card wont be charged til the order ships . SO my credit card was charged the amount of my item , but my order was never shipped . I sent an e-mail and it took 1 week for someone to get back to me . I was told that the manufacturer did not supply enough of the items , which they found out right after the sale closed . My order was canceled and I was told I would be getting a full refund .2 days later I check my account and it is showing my order was shipped ! I messaged them on FB in order to get a response . Today I got an e-mail stating that my order has to be marked as shipped in order to start the refunding process and get this , I should receive my refund in 3-5 weeks !!!! Who does business like that ? I e-mailed them back and told them I disputed the charges with my credit card company . This has got to be the worst place I have ever dealt with . I wont be doing business with them ever again . Save yourself the time and trouble !!!!!

I am another angry Totsy member - They merged with another sale site, and for a while I was getting 2 or 3 of their messages daily. So to try to rectify that, I 'unsubscribed' from the one from the old company thinking that would solve the duplicate issue. WRONG. That unsubscribed me from ALL emails, and when i tried to get added back to them, they said it's impossible and illegal. WHAT? You WANT me to buy from you, but you won't send me an email? They said I need to create a new email address and subscribe with that one, but I'm NOT creating a new email address JUST FOR TOTSY. That's silly...

That experience, combined with previous poor customer service, lack of response and unacceptable shipping practices makes me one unhappy customer. I still have a $20 credit which I WILL use (when I remember to independently check their website) but then will never support them again.

Also - Zulily is WAY better, and now many of the other sample sites (gilt.com, hautelook.com, ideeli.com and others) are now featuring lots of kids products, that I'm MUCH happier doing business with.

I also have bad experience with Totsy. I purchased something from a table from them. 2 weeks later even before I received my product, they offered the same thing but 25 dollar less. I emailed them asking if they could give me the discount. Took them couple days to email me back and the writing was rude, they said all sales are final and it's up to the customer's decision if you are buying or not when you pay. They can just call me "stupid" straight instead of the long email!!

DO NOT ORDER FROM TOTSY!

I ordered some shoes from them and a month later they were in the process of getting shipped>> they made it two cities south of me and next thing I know when I checked the tracking number they were getting shipped back to the company for an incorrect address. So I checked the address and name..... it was all correct. Contacted Totsy..... after a few emails and them telling me that the address on their end was right too. They offered a refund but I told them I just want the shoes>> this is what I got back........


Thank you for responding. I realize that you would like to receive the shoes, however the order has not reached our distribution center as of this writing and even once they do, we will not be able to send the shipment back out to you.

I too ordered some shoes for my girls. Totsy made me waited for weeks (while got the girls all excited). Then, dropped a shipment without letting me know that it was an incompleted order (their email for the shipment tracking show all of the items as being shipped), which made me worry and annoyed my mail man with my inquiries. Then after waiting couple more days to see if another package would show up (which never did), I emailed their customer service about it. No response. After another 3 days, I emailed them again and this time got an answered that the items were out of stock and they’d just refund my money. I got really upset, it’s not the matter of getting the money back (which by law they’d have to any way), but it’s such a terrible customer service. In this day and age, we shouldn’t have to put up with this kind of service. I’m done with them.

Well, I wish I would have found this page before I ordered. (Though it is comforting to know that I am not the only one who has had issues with Totsy :) I just placed my first order yesterday and they quickly charged my debit card twice, of course causing all sorts of problems with my bank and card, which was declined, because of Totsy stealing money from my account. Tried to contact customer service and no luck yet. Shame, I was happy about the things I purchased, of course until I saw that it would be over a month until the stuff even shipped. LAME TOTSY!

I just got off the phone with them, seems they are having phone issues now. So, I left the lady my email and order number. To my surprise, she emailed me right away. I told her I wanted my order cancelled and that I had already contacted my bank. I told her if they did not cancel, I would contact my attorney and pass this information on to every social networking site I could. My order was cancelled PROMPTLY with a letter stating that this was the only time they would extend this cancellation. Who cares.. I am never ordering from them again! BAD SERVICE!

Still haven't encountered their service yet. But every customer deserves to be treated well by these companies. Always keep in mind that a good customer service is a stepping stone towards the success of a company.

He makes it sound like it's impossible to ship faster. I consistently get my orders from babysteals and kidsteals in 1-2 DAYS, so it can be done.

I ordered from Totsy on December 23. My card was not debited until late Jan. 20 something(can't remember exact date) but my order still has not arrived. I emailed previously (several times) before getting an update on the order but never got a respsonse and no one ever answers the 800 #. I was billed for 5 pair of shoes but they only show 4 shipped to a shortage. No response to that email either. The tracking # also appears to be invalid on USPS, UPS, and FedEx so I don't know if my order is coming or not. My daughter isn't due until April but if she was already her, the shoes would probably be too small by the time I get them... If I ever do.

So sad that I didn't see this blog before I ordered. My credit card was charged a couple days before they said I was to expect my order. It is now 2 weeks after my original receive by date that I was given and 6 weeks after I ordered. I have made 1 telephone call, 1 email sent through form on web page and sent 3 emails. I have not been able to get anyone from the company to give me a tracking # on my order. I started thinking totsy.com may be a scam and wondering if I should contact my credit card to cancel when I found this blog. I have ordered from competitor sites and received my merchandise much faster. Looks like the CEO commented to oneboredmommy a while ago and they are still having the same problems. Sad...sad...sad.

I ordered 3 pairs of shoes, 2 leggings from them and they only shipped 4 items, but charged me for 5 items! I have been contacting them via email and phone, but they keep saying the refund was supposed to be coming from my credit card company. they said they already issued a refund and it's my bank that just has to accept the refund. seriously?

i am NEVER going to order from them again. i'm chalking up the money i spent on totsy as lesson learned.

VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!!! I must say that the products are adorable and the prices obviously good, but Totsys Customer Service Dept. is a sad thing. They are impossible to get a hold of. They claim you will be connected to a customer service rep if you stay on the line. After minutes and minutes of that I elected to press 1 to leave a message. 3 messagges were left and an email and nobody responded to my question of where is my order.... Actually, If someone would have simply responded to my question after the first attempt to contact them or even the second I would have been satisfied and more understanding in this matter. Are these really business people and do they really think it is okay to take our orders and money then to treat us as if our orders and money do not matter? Obviously I am pissed and would highly recommend not ordering from this sad excuse for a company. Shame on you Totsy...Shame on you for taking advantage of your customers this way.

I placed an order with totsy.com on April 4! Here it is May 17th and still haven't received it. By the time I receive the pajamas I ordered for my 3 year old they won't fit anymore. I've had slow shipping from online stores before but come on this is just totally ridiculous. Ok TOTSY you have your money now where's my product! I will never purchase from them again. The price discount isn't worth it. Glad it was my first order and the shipping was free. Rip off!

Placed order 8-11. Totsy sez packaged deliver 9-8. NOT!!! My DIL never rcvd my package for g-kids. Took forever to get through to customer service, they NEVER. Returned any phone calls, sez they are doing investigation looking for package, now they say I will get refund. IKll believe it when I see it. So very disappointed. I have NEVER experienced this with online ordering.

Thank you for the review of Totsy, I was just about to click send on an order but after reading about all of the negative experiences and frustrations people have, and continue to have, with this company I'm not going to deal with this company. I've already got myself into one heck of a battle with Dead.Sea who scammed me out of almost $100. Live and learn to do research before I order online ever again!

I just signed up with Totsy and decided to check reviews to see Totsy's reputation. I was actually more concerned with the quality of their items. Never did I think that there would be so many negative comments. It appears that by the time customers receive their clothes, the children have outgrown them. I will be removing myself from their website list immediately. Thank you for the comments. I pray that all of you receive your items (or refunds, or responses) immediately.
To the CEO, the only issue addressed was a small portion of the shipping time issue; however, monetary issues were not addressed. Also, even though it is not good for advertising, it would be less misleading to inform customers that the standard times are 10-15 days; however, shipping times are based on vendor distribution.
I hope that the company gets it together soon because for every 10 negative comments there is only 1 positive comment.

I wish i read this before I got burned. Several of my items were canceled from my order. But what really stinks is that I found the same items on Amazon for the EXACT same price plus I'm a prime member so that's free 2-day shipping. Totsy is not worth the anxiety of waiting and hoping you get your stuff.

Just emailed a bunch of people at Totsy in hopes of a reply. I received my order earlier than previous orders and all was well until I noticed one of the 3 piece sets was open and missing the shirt. So, I looked on the invoice and followed their instructions only to learn that their customer service is CLOSED??? So I emailed since their form claims they will respond in 24 hrs. Well, it has been over a week and I still can't get through via phone and haven't received a reply to my email. I found another blog with the email addresses of some of the key contacts. I'm not sure if they are valid but I sent a strongly worded email and am happy to post their email addresses here for your assistance. :) Good luck! Oh and I have found the same to be true with Amazon and even found many items later at Marshalls and TJ Maxx. (not for this particular order though :( )

I just placed an order on Jan. 5 with great enthusiasm. Now I am so discouraged. As a mom of 8 pennies get pinched til they scream and when I do splurge it has to be a great deal. Should have known this deal was too good to be true. I will post again when/if I ever get my order. Didn't need a time consuming battle to either get my item or a refund. :(

I have had numerous issues with Totsy, mostly technological glitches. I have stuck with them because I like the products, and I felt that they were trying to improve. But, my latest experience was the last straw. An item I ordered was cancelled from my order, and the notification I got was barely even apologetic. I had the same problem just a few weeks ago with Zulily, but they wrote an absolutely perfect notification email explaining and taking responsibility, and giving me a $10 credit to show their regret for having disappointed a valued customer. Their customer service is worlds better than Totsy's.

Well CRAPPER! I wish I read all these bad reviews BEFORE I ordered! I ordered a pair of boots for my daughter's birthday. It did take about 3 weeks for them to be delivered, but that isn't my main complaint! The smell of the box AND the boots is horrendous! As soon as I opened the shipping box, I nearly feel backwards! And the boots had the same smell! Cheap! cheap! cheap! I was heartbroken for my daughter, as she was asking me everyday 'are the boots here yet??' I've left them outside for 4 days, scrubbed them down with soap, sprayed them with a cleaning product, I even scrubbed them with a lemon! I hope it goes away before her foot outgrows them!!
