No More Screaming Cause The Suns In Their Eyes! Check Out "Protect A Bub" Car Seat Sunshades...A Must Have For Every Family!
One of the most annoying things when you're driving is having the sun shine directly in your eyes. Even more annoying is having your child scream bloody murder cause the sun is in their eyes and there is nothing you can do about it. Trust me...having four kids, we've had our share of episodes with "Mr. Sun" and if there was a product that I could buy that would help eliminate this problem...I WOULD BUY IT!
Good news for you (a little late for me, however), there is a product that is just what the doctor ordered! It's called Protect A Bub Car Seat Sunshade and I'm going to tell you why you must buy one for your baby/toddler's car seat.
We received a Protect A Bub Car Seat Sunshade (sent to us free of charge for this review), so I could try it out with my final toddler. Man, how I wished we would have found this product sooner. It would have saved me from hearing all the crying, screaming, "Mr. Sun GO AWAY" comments that were made, as we drove along with the sun shining directly in our kids faces.
Have a look at my son's face...does he look happy? It's because he can prevent the sun from making him squint and cry, thanks to this car seat sunshade.
If you've got a child who doesn't like the sun shining in their eyes...you need to check into buying one of these car seat sunshades. I promise...it will save you some headaches and you'll see more smiles than tears when your driving in your car with your little one.

Nate's Crate: Did You Miss The Reveal? See What's INSIDE...
As you know already, I am a huge fan of NATE BERKUS! He's been holding us in suspense over what was in the "Nate's Crate" and today was the reveal...
I am thinking...should I send a video to see if one of those $50,000 Nate Crates can be delivered to CT, to our front door? I could really use help in every room of our home...but I am sure I could narrow it down to a couple, right?

My Kids Love Shopping And Now They Can Do It From The Comfort Of Home...Just Like Mom, With This New "Shopping Cart"! WIN ONE With This Fun Giveaway Too!
Pushing a shopping cart is a huge deal to little kids! Take my word for it, when your child is old enough to not only, not sit in the shopping cart at the grocery store, but help push it through...they feel SO BIG!
Our favorite grocery store here in CT has mini-shopping carts for our kids to push along as we shop and (NO LIE), we once had four kids, pushing four little carts and two adults, pushing two full sized carts shopping through Shop Rite. I am sure that everyone that encountered us, during that shopping visit, thought that my husband and I were totally insane...but our kids LOVED it!
My friends at GUMMYLUMP offer a full line of Melissa & Doug products (which our kids absolutely adore) and one of the ones that caught their attention first was...the "shopping cart". I mean, what child wouldn't want that (just like mom) mini version of the real thing? I'll admit too, it's pretty darn cute, right?
So a box arrived last night that had my kids screaming, jumping and getting all excited! The Melissa & Doug "Shopping Cart" was here (sent to us free of charge for this review/feature) and they couldn't wait for me to assemble it, so they could get busy shopping!
Now, it does require assembly, but thankfully, the tool you need is in the box and it doesn't take that long (or much effort) to put it together. I love how sturdy it is and how GOSH DARN ADORABLE it is. It's seriously, just like the real thing, only shrunk to their size.
ADORABLE!!
Check out (see the video above) how my kids played with the cart when it was ready to roll...I got out some "supplies" for them to put in their cart to "buy" and they loved it! It's amazing how some empty boxes can be a fun addition to this adorable shopping cart! They had a blast playing "grocery store" and pushing the cart around, loading it up, unloading it and bagging up their groceries.
SO CUTE!!
Do you know some children that would love this Melissa & Doug "Shopping Cart" too? I get the pleasure of offering (1) Lucky One Bored Mommy Reader their chance to win one right here! This might be a great Christmas present for your special someone!

Christmas Shopping...What's Your Tactic? I'll Share With You My Jumping Off Point!
I know...it's not even Halloween yet...but "That Time Of Year" coming sooner than later and you've gotta be prepared, right? You know...the jolly guy in a red suit, presents wrapped & nestled under the tree, stockings hung by the chimney with care and ladadada...
So, how do you prepare for this upcoming HUGE holiday season?
All the shopping, the wrapping, the baking, & the spreading of holiday cheer? How do you make sure you don't forget something "special" on someones "MUST HAVE" list?
I will give you a hint on how I do it...
The first step is coming up with a "Santa" list. This year, I have limited our kids to "2" things each. They were dying that I was only allowing them two, but SANTA isn't wanting to have lots of credit card debt from this holiday season either.
So, I open up a blank PowerPoint spread sheet and copy & paste pictures of their "WANTS" from sites like ToysRUs, Target.com, etc. You get the idea. Each list, of course, has their name on it and when it gets closer to the date, I "mail or e-mail" a copy to Santa, to make sure he has everything under wraps.
Truthfully, I am thrilled that two of my kids already picked out things I have purchased already for them, for Christmas. The rest, of course, we will be watching for sales on and hoping not to BREAK THE BANK. With four kids, Christmas can get rather expensive.
WORD TO THE WISE...some people wonder why I have my kids do their "WANT" lists a couple months before Christmas...
Typically, my kids ask for the HOTTEST toys on the market, which means they are also the ones that will probably sell out in stores before most parents get them bought for their own kids. So, I can get the upper hand at trying to get them before I have to, so I don't have to revert to spending 3x's as much on EBAY or waiting in HORRENDOUS lines at the last minute to score the PRIZE!
Just a thought...if you like that kind of heart pounding, elbow throwing, far from smiling faces crowds...desperate for their child's MOST DESIRED Christmas present from Santa, then just wait!
But don't say I didn't warn you!

Come See What Could Be Driving Into Your House This Christmas...
Boy's LOVE Cars!
It's a tried and true fact! Haven't met one yet that, at some point in their adolescent showed some sort of interest in cars. Now, older boys need more than just a car. They need lights, interaction, muscles, music & a remote control (another thing every boy/man can't live without).
RIGHT?
That's why I was so excited to have my oldest son help me with this review for "Road Rippers" newest product. One that I truly can see every little boy in the USA asking for, for Christmas this year.
We received the "Road Rippers" R/C Corvette "Motor Muscle" Car (sent to us free of charge for this review by TEAM MOM & www.toystate.com) and my son was very excited about taking it on a test drive!
But first he had to read up on how to make this car "REALLY" go!
Now, in my opinion, classic cars will never go out of style, which is exactly why Road Rippers decided to bring them back in such a fun way. They are introducing a 1967 Corvette Stingray (which we received), a 1969 Dodge Daytona, a 1971 Dodge Super Bee and a 1970 GTO Judge. Each car includes it's own remote controller that incorporates design cues pulled from the actual vehicles. Plus...ours plays a really fun song. Just a warning though, after hearing it constantly (cause you know that once the song is over, they have to push the button again), you'll be ready to have a break for awhile.
After watching my son drive this car from the get go, I have to worry about how he'll drive "for real" someday!
Not really...these cars were made to be played with.
Which also means they are made to handle some bumps along the way.
These Road Rippers Remote Controlled Motor Muscle Collection Cars are available now at Walmart, ToysRUs, Kmart and stores nationwide.
You can also visit their online world at www.mymotorisland.com, where "Ripp" has brand new webisodes, and a whole interactive world for your son to play with.

I Received A Sparkly Surprise In The MailBox Today...Anything That Shines Like This Is A "Must Have" On My List...
I sent my daughter out to get the mail a few minutes ago and she came in with a small envelope. On the label, it said, "ZIRCONMANIA" and, given the size of the envelope & the feel of what was inside...my heart skipped a beat a little. What beautiful treasure lay hidden inside this package and would it glitter and sparkle like I thought it would? Only the person that opened the package would know that for sure...
Inside this package was even more amazing than what I had imagined. I received this gorgeous bracelet from Zirconmania that I cannot wait to wear to church or on a date night with my husband.
The six blue fireball crystals on this bracelet are brilliant and exquisite. They glitter and shimmer and are simply fabulous!

It also has an adjustable cord makes it fit wrists of all sizes!
Here's a little bit more about this company "Zironmania" and more about their superb jewelry line:
Until a few years ago, I really didn't appreciate the idea of "accessorizing" outfits. You would never find me wearing a bracelet out to dinner (cause they annoyed me, as they slid up and down on my wrist while I was eating) and finding a matching necklaces or earrings wasn't worth my time & effort. I'm not sure exactly what clicked, but I have recently found an appreciation for not only accessorizing my outfits, but feeling really good about how it looks when my outfit is truly "completed" by a piece of "NEW" jewelry.

I love this new bracelet (especially since it can be adjusted to fit my wrist perfectly and not annoyingly slip on my wrist) and cannot wait to let it accessorize one of my favorite "date night" outfits for our next big "night out".

Please, head over to Zirconmania's website (CLICK HERE) and check out their unique and brilliant cubic zirconia jewelry. If you like sparkle and bling, this is your type of online jewelry store.

Wilson Phillips Is Back With A Christmas CD Every Family Needs This Year..."Christmas In Harmony"
Wilson Phillips...does that name ring a bell with any of you? It did with me, when I was contacted by Sony to review their newly released "Christmas In Harmony" CD.
This is the Wilson Phillips I remember (see picture above)...you too, right? The ones that sang, "HOLD ON" in the 90's. You know you listened to them! I know that I did!
I loved them actually!
So here's a CD that you should consider buying as Christmas time is approaching.
"Christmas in Harmony" by Wilson Phillips was released on October 12th (my daughter's birthday) and I have a feeling will be playing at the background of many a Christmas party this year.
We received a copy of this CD (sent to us free of charge for this review/feature) and I am inspired and feeling in the mood for the approaching holidays! They have amazing voices that have gotten even better over the years (in my opinion). Their harmony makes my heart happy and I hope it has the same effect on yours.
The "Christmas In Harmony" CD playlist includes:
I Wish It Could Be Christmas Every Day
Little Drummer Boy
Warm Lovin’ Christmastime
When A Child Is Born
Silent Night
Santa Claus is Coming To Town
Silver Bells
Sleigh Ride
Joy
Winter Wonderland
The Christmas Song
Our Prayer
Interested in listening, to see if you want to purchase this CD?

HOLY SINFULLY DELICIOUS! This Recipe Is So Yummy...It's SCARY! This Carmel Apple Cake Is DIVINE!
Part of the reason I love this time of the year, is because it means that HUGE DINNER'S with FABULOUS FEASTS will be coming very, very soon to a table near you!
But the best part (hands down) of every one of those meals (in my opinion)...
the DESSERT!
My husband came home yesterday from work with a grocery bag full of things and this newspaper article.
The recipe was taken from the Food Network Magazine and he was dying for me to make it, so we could try it. I mean, it said, "SO YUMMY, It's Scary" in the title. And seriously, anything titled...CARMEL APPLE CAKE, sounds positively scrumptious, right?
So, while my husband and son were at the football playoffs, I decided to undertake this baking process and try it on for size. LITERALLY! Per serving, this dessert offers: 658 calories, 21 grams of fat, 115 grams of carbs, etc. You get the idea. Not the best for us...but since we aren't going to be eating this every single night of our lives, it's not going to kill us to indulge a little, right?
The first thing I realized, was that I didn't own the right sized cake pan. OH WELL...I just decided to make a longer and skinner cake instead...and you know what, it really didn't matter. Though I didn't follow the rules to a "T" (cause I didn't want to put the apple in the middle with the stem hanging out), it turned out pretty amazing (and indulgent) and even, just giving the kids a sample taste of the carmel topping & crumbles of the cake that stuck to the side of the pan...they were CRYING (literally) for more.
Consider this to be the IDEAL dessert for Thanksgiving dinner...or even just a hearty family gathering! Everyone will love the sweetness and tastes of this season in this Carmel Apple Cake. Just be warned...this is part of the reason that us Americans go on "NEW YEARS DIETS" come the first of the year!
Who cares! Indulge! Enjoy the sweetness & richness of this delicious cake! Thanks Food Network Magazine & the Connecticut Post!
