So, I am a little bit of a "free spirit" when it comes to my hair! I could bet my mom & sister are both laughing at this right now and nodding their heads in agreement! Always have been...always will be! The cut, the color, the length...it's all fun for me to mess with! But I have had less opportunity to change things up since I've become a mom.
So today, as I was drying my hair and thinking about tomorrow's TV appearance, I thought, "I could really use a hair change". Not necessary color (though heaven knows...with all the white old lady hairs, I could use that too), but maybe I could try some DRAMATIC bangs. Ok...maybe not dramatic, but more sweeped over bangs.
So I found this Youtube video and thought, "I can do that!" after watching it. So I went for it. Even though I was using "KITCHEN scissors" I figured, "What could go wrong, right?" With my oldest daughter (who is home sick with pneumonia) watching, I took the first few snips and watched a large amount of my hair fall into the sink of the bathroom. GASP...what was I thinking? I am going to be on TV tomorrow?? Maybe today wasn't best time to get a WILD HAIR...
Too late now!
After flat ironing them and spraying them a little...this is what I got (see above)!
What do you think? Do they look okay? Are they flattering on my face? Should I be anxious to grow them back out? Perhaps I should wear my hair back and up tomorrow?

Trying to remember the last time you had bangs....I keep having an image in my head of you wearing a winter formal dress with super puffy sleeves and a matching puffball of bangs in the middle of your forehead. Not sure if that was your most recent bang experience but I thought I would share the memorable visual with you!
They look good! I got bangs this same week last year! I only had them trimmed once (so they lasted about 6 weeks) then let them grow in. I didn't regret it though. It let me experiment with how I liked them-- straight across, side-swept, longer to the side, tuck-able, pinned back and poofed forward... many more options!
Love the bangs...they look great! I just got a hair cut this morning and got bangs. I feel like I look 10 years younger. Well, maybe 5 years...lol.

I like them a lot too! I also think that side swept bangs looks really good with the rest of the hair pulled back. It really softens updos. :)
Looks great to me. I just got bangs a couple months ago and I think I look years younger and my daycare kiddos told me the same thing so my bangs are here to stay.
