I've Got To Be One Of The LUCKIEST Mommies...EVER!

My oldest son is the sweetest boy!  He really is!  He's always had the most fragile & loving heart!  Today, I had the honor of attending the "1st Annual Mother's Day Tea" with his fourth grade class, as his DATE.
Not only did I get to sit next to the most handsome guy in the room...and hold his hand to calm his nerves a little...
But he served me a fabulous "brunch" and even some sweet tea...
Then he read to me "Top Ten Reasons Why My Mom Is The Best!" in front of his whole class.  So proud of him!  They had a chair for the mommies to sit, which meant that everyone got to see me tear up and bawl over the sweet things my wonderful son wrote about me.

He cracked up about his #10: MY MOM TAKES CARE OF BUSINESS
He also wrote me a great paper about why he thinks I am the best mom in the world.
Wow...that's a lot of mom's to be compared to!  I think he did a great job defending his position!

All in all, it was a heartfelt, tearful and super sweet morning with my oldest son!  What a blessing!  What a joy to be the mommy of this tender hearted guy!
I really couldn't be more proud!

Courtney that is so darn sweet! Our school used to do this for the younger grades but ended with 2nd grade. I think they should continue this right up to high school. Too many kids forget about what sacrifice and love being a parent is all about and TOO many parents forget what unique, funny and loving kids we have. At least it's one day set aside for each child and parent to enjoy each other. Your son is a darling! ( I know boys dont want to hear that but he really is!)
