FLASHBACK To Age 16...

Today, I get to go to the California DMV (Department of Motor Vehicles) to transfer my license.  That's right...I will be a California driver ONCE AGAIN.  WOOT WOOT!  This is the third time that my license number will be issued to me!  And believe it or not...I still have that # memorized!

This gives me flashbacks to the day I took my official drivers license test...when I was sixteen, in my 1984 Pontiac Fiero.  So thankful I passed with flying colors on that driving test.  Talk about nerve raking...especially with a clutch and stick shift to worry about!

Thankfully, this time around, I don't have to take an "ON ROAD" test...but yes, I also have to take a written exam.  I've been practicing on the DMV website, because the last thing I want to do is bomb a written test and not be able to get my new CA license.  How embarrassing would that be?  Especially since it's the third time I'll be applying for one in California.

Do you ever worry about what your license picture will look like?  I'm not to worried...but it would be nice to have a good hair day and at least a smile on my face when the snap the picture...

We all can relate to how memorable our first day of receiving our driver's license were. It's always been like that for most people, but these impressions are largely influenced by how they managed to go through with the process of getting one. And organizations are inevitably at fault here if there were any bad impressions about it.
