Build Your Own Burgers and Shakes At Denny's - See What I Think!

Today, I had a hot lunch date with one of the cutest little guys I've ever laid eyes on.  Of course, I'm talking about my own four year old...but how fun that we had the opportunity to not only get out of the house for lunch, but we got to try some new things on the Menu at Denny's.
We were sent there to try the new "Build Your Own" Burgers and Shakes!!
I wasn't sure what to expect, but as excited to see what type of combinations we could come up with.
I worked up my "ORDER SHEET" for the burger...  I chose a Hamburger patty, on potato bread with lettuce, tomato, pickles, fried onions and pepper jack cheese.
And I let the little guy decide what he wanted for the milkshake (I had a feeling he would probably be the one to enjoy that special treat).  He chose a chocolate shake, with oreo cookie mixed in and strawberry syrup too.  That combo sounded interesting...but I was excited to try it out!
Our order came out backwards from what I was hoping.  I always like to enjoy a milkshake as DESSERT...especially with a little guy for lunch.  But the milkshake came out first. My bad for not sharing my desire for this to happen before hand.  Despite the order it was super sweet and actually a great combination (FYI)!  My little guy thoroughly enjoyed scooping it up and savoring the sweetness...YUM!
Then the Hamburger and fries arrived a few minutes later.  It didn't look like a typical hamburger because it was on the Potato Bread...but it was just as equally delicious.

I few things I really enjoyed...our total meal cost under $12.00!  To me, that's awesome and we got to sit and enjoy each other's company while we ate.  Plus, I loved that I could make the burger any way I wanted to.  I loved that my little guy had such a huge selection to create his shake!  We were both happy campers when we left there full & satisfied!
