Summer Travel - Clean Baby Bottles Always On Hand With @Steribottle

Are you taking "baby" on a VACATION this summer?
If you've ever traveled with an infant (this mommy has...a few times), then you know how important it is to make sure you have everything you need, packed, clean and ready for "easy access & use" while you're sitting on a plane, riding on a bus or even in a taxi ride to and from.  If you're a parent who bottle feeds, you know how important (and sometimes impossible) having a clean bottle ready to go is too, right?

So what happens when you're on a trip and you are in a pinch to feed the baby...with no "CLEAN" bottle in sight?
If you have the Steri-Bottle with you, feeding time is simple and easy...with these single use, disposable, STERILE baby bottles.  These bottles will save you time and make traveling with your baby, clean, hassle free and super easy!!
They come in packages that offer different amounts of sterilized bottles...
What about those middle of the night feedings, when you just don't want to spend the time to sterilize the bottle before you feed the baby?  This Steri-bottle is the perfect option to make nighttime feedings a cinch!
You just open, fill, feed and recycle the bottle.  They are only good for a "one time" serving, when baby is done eating, you put it in the recycle bin.  It's the first ready-to-use bottle to come with a wide steri-soft textured teat (nipple), and a steri-bottle.  Every feed is safe and easy for you & your baby.

Of course, this would not be an "everyday use" bottle...but ideal for those occasional times when you just don't have time to sterilize the bottle and are on the move.

CLICK HERE to learn more about this product and perhaps you'll invest in a few of these for your "on the go" diaper you're prepared for your next quick feed.

Stay Cool And Sweetly Hydrated With @oldorchardjuice This Summer

It's getting HOT outside!  Doesn't that make you thirsty?  How are you making sure your kids are staying hydrated?  Do you make them drink lots of water?  Do your kids complain when you tell them to drink water?

All products were sent free of charge for this review/feature by the company!  I was not offered any monetary compensation by offering my honest opinion about the products being reviewed!
Summer and Lemonade go hand in hand in my opinion.  There is nothing like a slightly sour, slightly sweet glass of that lemony delight, to refresh and hydrate a thirsty person in the hot summer hours of the day.  That's my opinion at least...
Our youngest daughter was THE MOST excited about these products coming because she doesn't enjoy carbonated beverages at juices are right up her alley!  In fact, she loves them!
She got to be our taste tester and she was pleasantly pleased with both the Country Style Lemonade (she said it's a little sweet and a little sour) and the Strawberry Lemonade (her favorite of the two).  She said it tasted like strawberries and lemonade.  She liked the combination.
And I like that they are made with real fruit juice, are naturally sweetened and are a low calorie beverage with vitamin C.

OLD ORCHARD is also having a contest right now that might be something you'll be interested to enter:

Old Orchard has so much more than just these lemonades.  Our family is huge fans of all their fact, we just went through several bottles of their Cranberry Juices too in the past couple weeks.

Hands Free iPhone - Thank You @ThisIsClipSee

Talking on your cell phone and driving is a NO NO!
But are you good about using your "hands free" devices or do you even have one for your iphone?  Chances are...some of you might just be "risking" the ticket...and using your phone while you drive, which means that one hand is busy holding, while the other hand is busy steering.
Probably not a good idea, right?  Especially when you're not only putting your life (and whoever is in your car), but whoever else is on the road.

All products for this review/feature were sent free of charge by the company!  I was not offered any monetary compensation for posting my honest opinion about this product.
Check this out:
We received a ClipSee and I was excited to have my friend try it out...because I do not have an iPhone.  She gladly accepted the challenge and we tried the ClipSee out in my car.
The ClipSee does amplify the call and does make for a very convenient, very usable "hands free" device for your iPhone.  So if you don't have a system installed in your car, or don't enjoy using the headphones or bluetooth earpieces (which have to be continually charged to use and sometimes are not the most comfortable to wear)...then you should probably invest in a ClipSee for your iPhone too!  It very simply clips onto your seatbelt and makes it convenient and easy to make phone calls while you're on the road.  AWESOME!

A National Geographic @PetSmart Summer - PART 1 - The Set Up

This summer...the kids are learning to take responsibility for their "pets".  One of our favorite PET Stores is PETSMART (as you know if you've read this blog long).  They always have the best pets, the best pet products and it's always an adventure to shop in their stores.  In fact, we've had "OUTINGS" just to browse their pet department and observe what all they "have in stock".

All products for this review/feature were sent free of charge by the company being featured!  I was not offered any monetary compensation by posting my honest feelings about all the products included!  The $25 Gift Card is to be used to purchase the fish and other needs for our new aquarium.
Did you know that PetSmart carries a National Geographic line?  When I think of National Geographic's...I think of those magazines that used to get delivered to my dad monthly when I was a kid.  They were all about animals, they were about different cultures, they were also educational and gave him hours worth of reading.  He loved his National Geographic magazines!
So I was super excited and delighted that they wanted to do a review/feature of some of their Pet Products now being sold in PetSmart stores!

In fact, we were offered an National Geographic™ Aqua Oasis Starter Kit
Our deliveries came in pieces...but we were delighted when the final thing we needed...the aquarium...arrived today!
The kids were SOOOOO excited!
We unpacked the aquarium, installed the filter and put the 3D backdrop on (I wished it had come with a few more double sided tapes, but we improvised with packing tape). This backdrop did have to be cut (the instructions explained that) so that it fit just right on the aquarium. It's really neat and very heavy duty!  Makes it look like the fish will be swimming in the deep with the scuba divers.
We really LOVE IT!

We had the perfect "alcove" in our kitchen to put this tank, so an aquarium stand was not necessary!

I rinsed off the National Geographic™ Aquarium Sand and put our new ornaments inside.  I love that there are different "lighting" styles for this aquarium.  There is a blue light, a bright white light and then both can be used at the same time too.  Since we are getting fish in the middle of summer, I did not install the "heater", but the aquarium did come with that as well.  I may use that this winter, so the fish don't get too chilly in their tank...if they live that long!
I put the water in (after doing some research online, I used tap water, so I will have to buy a dechlorination product to make the water fish ready), I turned the filter on, and we are letting things settle before we head out to get our new inhabitants of our awesome new National Geographic Aquarium Tank.  It looks so nice, huh?  I sorta want to jump in and swim in there!
The kids were bummed a little, because.they are ready to shop now...but we have to wait until mommy has GAS MONEY before we drive the distance to get our new pets.  That $25 Gift Card is burning a hole in their pockets!  They have already done their ONLINE RESEARCH about what fish they want to buy...and have pretty much already spent the money!
Hopefully it won't be too long before we can fill up our tank.

STAY TUNED!  We will be updating you on the process of picking out our perfect aquarium pets...and how they settle into their new home!

THANK YOU PETSMART!  We love this new setup and all the National Geographic products we received!!  This will keep us pleasantly entertained, as we watch our new fish make this their new home too!

I SPY - Fresh Veggies

Have you ever played "I SPY"?
The kids and I are getting "CREATIVE" with ways we can PLAY together...not spend any money...and enjoy the perks of our place!  We really love (and we are so thankful for) where we are living right now!

Today...we played "I SPY" with our plants and guess what we found?
Our first little zucchini is formed and growing!  YIPPEE!
A fresh, red, ripe strawberry.  They are getting bigger now that the plants are maturing!  AWESOME!
A tomato.  It may look small...but it's just the angle of the picture, this is going to be one "FAT" juicy red tomato when it's ripe!  I can't wait!

Can I suggest you play a game of "I SPY" with your kids today.  Maybe not in the garden...maybe you can play it on a nature walk around the neighborhood.  Maybe you can play it at the park?  Be creative and remember...having fun doesn't have to cost a lot of money...thank goodness!

Do Your Kids Like Chocolate Syrup? Make Your Own...At Home...For Less!

I'm on a FRUGAL LIVING kick right now (though I typically am pretty frugal by nature) circumstances have CAUSED me to be extremely tight with what little money I have.  Because of that, I am learning to be even more creative than normal, especially since it's summer and the kids are home all day, to find ways to adapt to a much, much cheaper lifestyle.
That's for both things to do and things to eat, for me and the kids!
I wanted to treat my kids to a dessert tonight, that would cool us off (yes...conserving electricity is a must right now too) and treat our sweet tooths as well.  Since our fridge is almost bare of things that are NOT NEEDS...I was delighted to find a recipe on for homemade chocolate syrup (like the stuff in the HERSHEY's bottle at the store).

CLICK HERE to see the recipe...

It's really quick, takes only a few ingredients and turns out FABULOUSLY!  In fact, our daughter, who is EXTREMELY picky about her chocolate syrup...loves it! made quite a bit.  I followed the recipe and we re-used a couple squeeze bottles to store it in...and gotta a full bottle and half.  WOOHOO!  That should last us awhile!

So tonight, we will have chocolate milkshakes (made with ice cubes instead of ice cream) with our newly homemade chocolate syrup.  AWESOMENESS!!  Gotta love the benefits of the internet...and other people who have to live frugal too.  I'm thankful I was able to whip this up with things I had already in my pantry...and now we can enjoy it's benefits for more than just one evening dessert.

I was not paid to feature this post!  I was not compensated in any way by posting about this recipe I used on my own accord to save our family $$ and enjoy a sweet treat!

If You Don't Believe This...You're Missing Out! #bestgiftever

I saw this today...
And I have to admit, I couldn't agree with this MORE!  They are SUCH a reward!
They are by far, the BEST gift I have ever been given!

ScarAway - A Product All Mom's Should Have On Hand...

Scars...they are almost inevitable in childhood.  I have plenty of scars from when I was a kid...and thankfully most of them were damage done to my legs.  But there are some scars you don't want your children to have, to remember accidents that happened as children, as they grow up.

All products for this review/feature were sent free of charge by the company.  I was not offered any monetary compensation by posting about my honest opinion on these products!
Especially girls!  For boys, it's a "battle wound"...but in my opinion, facial scarring is the worst for little girls...because it might not seem like a big deal right now, but when they are applying makeup or getting ready for a special occasion (like their wedding someday), and that scar just can't be hidden...there's no fixing it and nothing will make them feel better about it.
So when two boxes of ScarAway products (ScarAway Silicone Scar Sheets and ScarAway Silicone Daily Discs) arrived...I was very happy to try them out on my girls.  Especially since they are over the counter, drug free and latex free!  I have the perfect models for this review, because both girls, within two weeks of each other, had a facial injury that resulted in a facial scar.  One is less obvious and one is a whole lot more substantial...but both will leave lasting scars on their faces.
I cut and used sections of the ScarAway Silicone Daily Disc's on both the girls. The pictures are of the first day they wore them.  The picture on the left is their scars.  The picture on the right is with the ScarAway Silicone Daily Discs applied.  They didn't seem to mind having them on, because it was almost like "skin" itself and because it's clear, it's barely noticeable when applied.  They typically wore them at night to it was even less of an issue of them being messed with.
The picture above is from three days later...I honestly can't see that much difference yet, but I am excited to keep using the product and watch it work wonders.  The skin area does feel smoother.  I hope that it really makes a difference, so the girls facial scars will fade and be less obvious.

ScarAway also sent the Silicon Scar Sheets...and I will be keeping these on hand for "BIGGER" injuries that might lead to scarring...should any occur.   These are also perfect for surgery scars!

So far, I am extremely impressed with ScarAway products and would recommend these to my family and friends, for themselves and their children.  NO ONE wants to have a scar!

A Reason To Celebrate - They Survived A Year Already! Now For Responsibilities...

The time has flown by...or has it?

We adopted two Dwarf Hamsters last year and despite the fact that MOMMY seems to be the one who keeps them clean (otherwise the house starts smelling), fed and watered...they survived a WHOLE year in our lives so far!   AWESOME!
We have had a couple bites (I'd bite too if I haven't been played with for weeks), a few times they have escaped their cages & have gone missing and we have shared a few giggles too, because they are pretty darn cute!
This of the girl's responsibilities is taking care & playing with them!  That means mommy is off the "HOOK" for the cleaning and feeding!  If they don't do it...we will be finding "adoptive" families to care for our little furry friends.  So far, they have had some daily activity outside of their cages (which makes for a much happier little pet) and they have been handled (which means they are far less aggressive and mean).  Maybe this summer will be a turning point for their RELATIONSHIPS with their hamsters.  I'd be okay with that!
And's FREE ENTERTAINMENT and I am all about that right now!

So help me with our little Hamsters "Rhino & Toby" a Happy 1 Year Anniversary in joining our little family!

Happy 1st Day Of Summer 2014...

We made it!
It's the OFFICIAL
I am thankful today, that smiles are FREE, giggles cost nothing and being outside with my children is a gift that doesn't have to be put on a credit card and I don't have to drive anywhere (have you seen gas prices) to enjoy it!.  The sunshine, the breeze and the moments we get to have, are a gifts that GOD gives us without asking for much in return!

I hope you are able to enjoy the "little things" in matter what is going on around you!
Life is difficult sometimes!
Chin up buttercup!
REMEMBER...GOD is always in control!

@KettlePop - They Can't Get Enough!

My kids are HUGE snackers!  Especially when we are spending lots of time at home...because money is tight and we can't "GO OUT" and do much of anything! They also like to snack when it's movie time and they want something yummy to enjoy during their "feature presentation"?

All products for this review/feature were sent free of charge by the company.  I was not offered any monetary compensation by posting about my honest opinion about these products.
So what can a mom give her kids, that will make her feel "GOOD" about their snack options and it be something they will really enjoy eating?  How about a guilt free snack that is ORGANIC and super YUMMY?
My kids got the pleasure of trying out KettlePop Organic Kettle Corn and Organic Sea Salt Popcorn.
My daughter loved the Kettle Corn.  She said it tasted carmely delicious!  My son loved the Sea Salt Popcorn.  He said it tasted like it had butter on it.
My daughter even licked her bowl clean she liked it so much!
They gobbled it all down and these "FACES" were so upset when it was "ALL GONE".
Pitiful right? Ha! They really, really loved it! will love this too!  Don't worry...mommy saved herself some to eat later (I just might mix them for a salty sweet combo) after the kids are in bed when I'm getting my quiet time!  Hee Hee!  This stuff is just as good as the "fresh" stuff you can pick up at a farmer's market.  YUM!

I'm Rather Fond Of Hummingbirds...

In our backyard patio area, not only do we have lots of things planted...a garden of sorts...but we also planted flowers that would attract butterflies and hummingbirds.  We have two hummingbird feeders that have been such a joy...because we get daily visitors from these delicate, swift flying, quick winged birds.  It's some of the cheapest form of entertainment for the kids.  Seriously...they will go sit out on the patio and they come and go.
I JUST LOVE THIS and so do they!!
There is just something SUPER sweet about Hummingbirds.  They were my GRANDMA's favorite bird.  She had hummingbirds all over her house and I always think of her when I see them.
But there is also something sweet having them hang around "our" area.  The three that visit us frequently, seem to not be too afraid of the constant movement (four kids are always moving), loud noises (yeah, they don't play quietly) and have even hovered my shoulder as I water the plants in the early morning hours...I enjoy their company.  It brightens my day to see them, to hear their wings fluttering so quickly and watching them be brave as they perch to drink & enjoy some refreshment.
Did you know that Hummingbirds are symbolic too?
I guess, in a sense, we are kindred spirits...because they are known to be HIGH ENERGY animals (obviously) who are INDEPENDENT, bring playfulness & joy in life, and who lift up negative energy.  Always being an optimist...I can really relate with this animal.  I love having them around!  I love that the kids love having them around us too.

So glad the hummingbirds come to play with us everyday...

@TeetherTops - Teething Babies Will Love To Chew On This

As a mommy of four, I have gone through the phase of "TEETHING" a few times!  Yep!  Four to be exact!  It's sometimes painful, very slobbery and can be a rough stage for any mommy/baby relationship.  Mom's struggle to keep their babies from being fussy, from sticking something in their mouth that they shouldn't, and all that baby wants to do is CHEW on something!

All products were sent free of charge for this review/feature!  I was not offered any monetary compensation by posting my honest opinion about this product.
I was just introduced to a new product that I think is simply wonderful!  Teether Tops was created to not only satisfy a teething baby's need to chew...but also to keep "what they are chewing on" clean and sanitary.
These chewable, interchangeable critters hook to a velcro arm band and can be switched out...which makes it a fun way to mix it up.  Plus, you can stick them in the give baby something cool to chew on (on the fabric will get cold)!  I LOVE THIS!!   Plus it's machine washable and since it's strapped on their arm, you don't have to worry about it ever hitting the floor unexpectedly.

Kinda makes me wish I had another baby to use this on...but luckily, I have a special baby girl in mind, who I think is really going to love her Auntie for this gift!

Have I sparked your interest?  CLICK HERE to learn more about this product!  If you have a teething will probably be thanking me for sharing with you about Teether Tops!

Let @Boltwell Get You Prepared And Take The Stress Out Of Any Type Of EMERGENCY Or Natural Disaster

Are you prepared?  I mean...really, truly prepared for "what could happen"?  I'll admit it...I'm really not, and the idea of something happening does worry me a little!  I don't have water stock piled in the garage!  I don't have can goods stockpiled in anticipation of not being able to go to the grocery store.  I don't have supplies on hand to handle any medical emergency that could come...with any type of natural disaster or EMERGENCY for that matter!

NATURAL DISASTERS and emergencies are scary why not get prepared so you are MORE THAN READY...just in case?

All products were sent free of charge by the company for this review/feature!  I was not offered any monetary compensation by posting about my honest opinion on these products!
I wasn't, until I received a package from Boltwell!  This company will help you put your mind at ease that they have thought about what you may not even consider you would need...UNTIL YOU DO!
I received a kit...that had more than enough for me to tackle just about any natural disaster that could happen (living in California, most likely a HORRIBLE earthquake)!  I have stuff to take care of medical needs (medical supplies), stuff to take care of my physical needs (toothbrush, emergency toilet, energy bar, etc.) and even stuff to stay INFORMED (a radio) and be able to see (a lantern).  Seriously...this kit is AWESOME and  I feel safer just having it in my home...cause you never know!  At least, now I know that if something does happen, I'm prepared to make sure the kids and I are okay until we get help or can leave our home safely.  I hope I never need it...
Do you have a kit at your home, in your car, for when you go camping, etc.?  It's seriously a good idea to be prepared!  Honestly...having one of their kits on hand will make these types of situations LESS SCARY and make you more effective in handling whatever life throws at you!  LOVE IT!

CLICK HERE to learn more about the kits they offer and PREPARE yourself for anything!  In this day in never know what you might need to be prepared for!

Big...Bigger...Biggest - Which Plant Has Grown The Most?

Our backyard gardening project this Spring/Summer has really been so much fun!  Who knew planting a garden would be so therapeutic?  We've planted seeds and watched them grow!  Of course, it's taken some time...some dedication to watering and nurturing...but it's truly a prize to see HOW BIG our plants are me & the kids!
Our Zucchini Plant is HUGE!  Seriously...I am amazed that such a big plant could come from such a small seed.  The kids are even more in awe.  Can't wait till we have some squash growing...that's going to make me even more excited!  And better yet...getting to saute some for dinner...on a summer night...will taste even sweeter!
Our corn...has past the KNEE HIGH the middle of June!  WOOHOO!  Who knows if it's actually going to be edible...but we are having a blast watching it get taller and taller.
Our tomato plant is also, very happy where it's planted.  Despite the fact that we only have "EATEN" one red ripe juicy beefy tomato from the plant...there are lots of little green ones growing and the plant itself is SO BIG!  We'll have quite the tomato harvest this summer!  SO DELIGHTED!

So now the kids are having a competition to see which plant will be the BIGGEST by the end of summer!  I love a good let the growing games continue!
