It's viral...so I knew it was only a matter of time before I was "challenged" to do the #ALSICEBUCKETCHALLENGE .
Thanks to my sweet "little" sister...I got nominated...
Now...honestly there was a small part of me hoping that I would be forgotten about and no one would think the wiser about nominating little ol' me...not because I didn't want to give to a good cause, but because I HATE (I repeat...I HATE) cold water on my body. I will avoid the ocean, a pool before it's warm enough, etc., at all cost! I'm a total wimp when it comes to extreme temperatures...but regardless, I am accepting this challenge with a smile on my face...because it is for a good cause!
You do have to admit though, it is a huge waste of clean water (when you can simply donate), when there are companies who are doing their best to provide clean water to families in other parts of the world...because they are not as PRIVILEGED as we are...to live in a country that provides clean water to us.
SERIOUSLY...check out www.love-water.org and consider donating to them. Can you imagine not having clean water to drink, bathe with, etc.? Life would be a lot different for us, wouldn't it? How many people would have done this challenge with DIRTY Ice Water? Probably far less...
WATCH ME GET SOAKED HERE:
(sorry, the camera cut off my head in parts of this video..and man was that water "take my breath away" cold!)
...and I look forward to seeing those I've challenged to continue "PAYING IT FORWARD" too.
I'm nominating "THE" Nate Berkus, Dagmar Bleasdale (from www.DagmarBleasdale.com), and Lisa Arneill (www.GrowingYourBaby.com) to complete this challenge as well! GOOD LUCK GUYS! Let's make a difference!
You have 24 hours to complete this challenge & donate $10 or don't & donate $100 to the ALS Association!
And don't forget to donate to the ALS - http://www.alsa.org/fight-als/ice-bucket-challenge.html
And consider donating to a worthy charity www.love-water.org as well!
I was not paid to feature this post! I was not compensated in any way by posting about this challenge. I made a donation to the ALS foundation in conjunction with this video being posted!
