A baby's skin is so soft and delicate!
What you use to bathe your baby can make a huge difference on their skin.

Would you want to use something rough?
Something that could mold if left in the bathtub?
Or something that has to be thrown away after only a few uses?
Maybe, would rather use something all natural?

This product was sent free of charge for this review/feature and I was not offered any monetary compensation for offering my honest opinion about this product.
I was just introduced to "Bath Buddy" Natural Bath Sponge

OH MY GOODNESS!  At first I thought...who would want to use this type of sponge to bathe a baby?   Because honestly it wasn't the softest thing...when I first pulled it out of the bag!
I SERIOUSLY want one for "my MOMMY" bath time!
When it's wet, it's super, duper soft against the skin!  It's almost luxurious...naturally!  It's super absorbent (it can soak up a lot of water), which is perfect for rinsing the baby off.  It did have a bit of a sea "smell" when I first wet it...but after using soap and faded away.  And what a fun thing for your baby to play with, after their "cleaning" part of their bathtub time is completed!  I know my kids would have loved playing with this (still would) in the bath.

Because it's made from a natural sea sponge, it is resistant to mold and mildew!
If it does need to be cleaned, a little baking soda & water mixture will freshen it up!
That means it will last and last and last!
BEST's recyclable when you're done with it!

Looking for more ideas to save $$ and have fun with your kids?
Playing at the neighborhood park is always FUN & FREE!

Do you have one close to where you live?
Maybe you can play tennis?
Who knows...maybe you have a future "Venus or Serena Williams" in your household!
This does require some patience...but is great for building coordination and teamwork skills.
Let the kids play on the playground?  Swinging is always a hit!
Even run a few races?  Even Mommy can get in the race!
They can even make a wish too!  All kids love doing this and they are typically growing all over in SPRINGTIME!

This type of fun gets you and the kids out of the house (they will love & be encouraged...seeing you be active with them), it helps you get a little exercise, and gives you some time to build some cherished memories with your kids!
It's good FREE FUN for all!

Starting To Bloom - Watching Our Garden Grow

We have always wanted to plant our "own" garden...of sorts, but have never done it...until now!  This is the first year we are making an attempt and so far...despite the fact that I am truly clueless as to what I am doing as a gardener or farmer ( you'll see from the pictures) and already battling hungry bugs, who like the taste of our baby plants sweet leaves...we are having a blast watching our seeds and plants grow and bloom!

In fact, the oldest has already been snacking on the green onions and he loves them!
These were all planted from seeds!
I know...I know...the corn is not exactly popping up in rows (I always think of that Tim McGraw song)...but it's popping up and could be knee high by the 4th of July!
These we purchased as baby plants.
The raspberries was just a stick with NO green when we bought it!  It seems to be very happy where it's growing!  And you can see...we will have some red strawberries very soon!  We can't wait to pick them and taste test our own "HOME GROWN" strawberries!  YUM! We love fresh fruits and veggies!
Expense wise...we have spent very little...but it's been a fun and therapeutic way for us to learn, nurture and grow some food of our very own.
Time's been a little investment (watering and such).
Hopefully PROFIT wise...we will be eating fresh veggies and fruits, straight from our back patio, shortly...

And my little GARDENERS are super excited about checking on our garden every day!

Will you be planting a GARDEN this year?

I was not paid to post this feature!  I was not compensated in any way by posting about our garden.  All plants have been purchased on my own accord!

Sin-Free Sugar? Sounds Sweet To Me...

Sugar...a natural (or sometimes not so natural nowadays) element that adds a little "sweetness" in our lives...through our taste buds!  We all, in some way or another enjoy something we eat that is sweetened with sugar...right?  But we don't enjoy the added CALORIES, the weight gain or the way we feel when our blood sugar is elevated!   And we definitely don't like the feel when we are crashing...when the sugar rush wears off!

This product was sent free of charge for this review/feature!  I was not offered any monetary compensation by posting my honest opinions on this product!
I was just introduced to a new product that adds sweetness...without the calories, chemicals or worries!  It comes in individual packets (perfect for adding to coffees or teas) and packages (for baking or cooking with).
Sin-Free Sugar by UBB is real sugar but better!
It feels more like powdered sugar (consistency wise)...than granulated sugar...but sweetens just the same (but does require a little bit more to reach the right level to taste).  And it doesn't leave an odd or nasty after taste...when you are finished eating or drinking something sweetened with it!
We added it to our strawberries last night...and honestly the kids didn't know the difference (after being stirred made a similar syrupy liquid that sugar typically does)...but mommy was confident that using Sin-Free Sugar by UBB instead of regular table sugar was a healthier option for our dessert...without loosing any sweetness!

SPRING BREAK - Off To A BIG Splash Already...

Yesterday was the first official day of SPRING BREAK...and we are already having a SPLASH of a good time!
In fact, today...we finally got to use the fishing rods the kids got for Christmas, and with the exception of the bag of bait (we used "chicken liver with chicken blood" stink bait...YUM) didn't cost anything but our time and patience!
It was their first time "EVER" fishing (only the oldest has been before)!
So we did a DRY RUN in our they could get the concept of "casting" down...before we headed out to the lake and actual hooks were being dodged!
It was a few hours of quiet, patient (they were amazingly patient for their first time), overcast...and then sunny & hot waiting and casting out & reeling in!
But finally...after about 3 hours...our oldest daughter CAUGHT THE BIG ONE!  This catfish was probably 4 1/2 pounds and surprisingly enough...didn't break the string on her little pole!  It did take her a little while to get it to shore!
She was so proud and excited!  And yes...the catfish swam away with a little emotional distress (because there were some squeals and lots of excitement), but otherwise OK!  I was so excited too!  At least one of them caught make our day of "fishing" worthwhile!
We got to see a big CATFISH!
We will be going again and again!  Oh yes...even though our hands smelled like the bait (but they were troopers and all baited their own hooks) when we left the lake...we made fun memories and now we know there are "BITERS" in that lake!  We will be back soon!

Easter Just Wouldn't Be EASTER Without Some Sweet #peepsLove

It seems every year...the EASTER BUNNY manages to bring those delicious, adorable, MASHMALLOWY sweet treats to our house & into our candy filled baskets!
These products were sent free of charge for this review/feature and I was not offered any monetary compensation for my honest review/feature of them!

Even in my own EASTER BASKET as a kid (hey...they have been around for more than fifty years) sister and I would find the traditional yellow peeps!
I love that our kids get to enjoy the sweetness & fun of them too!
We received a huge box of their "ASSORTMENT" for this upcoming SPRING and I was blown away!  I had no idea there were SO MANY different Peeps!  YUMMY!
Our kids were in PEEP HEAVEN!

A couple new ones I found NEW and INTERESTING...
Peeps Peepsters (bite sized chocolate covered goodness)

I even came up with my own "PEEPS" Dessert...
I call it "Courtney's Crunchy ROCKY ROAD Brownie"!  YUM...right?

Will the EASTER BUNNY be bringing these treats to your house?
Why wait?  Why not buy some to share with your kids now?

Family Movie Night - Iesodo "LOVE" and "FAITH"

Family movie nights are a big deal to me and the kids!  It's a time for us to pop some fresh popcorn, turn off the lights, turn on a movie we can all watch together and ENJOY some CUDDLE TIME!  LOVE these moments so much!

I was not paid to give my honest opinion about these DVD's that were sent to us free of charge for this review/feature!  I received no monetary compensation in return for this feature!

For our viewing pleasure...tonight we watched two new movies that arrived that were definitely "FAMILY FRIENDLY"!

We received two "IESODO" movies:

Iesodo is a white dove who is the leader of his flock.  He has some major similarities to JESUS of the Bible!  In fact...his name means "The Way of Jesus"!
"LOVE" offers two stories that were somewhat familiar to the kids and I!  Bible stories about a wedding party and a Tax Collector named ZACK (get it?).  Iesodo brings peace to the situations and helps them learn to treat one another with kindness!
"FAITH" offers two stories that were also pretty familiar to us!  They were Bible stories about Miracles and The Wind and Rain!  In both of these stories...Iesodo teaches his friends to have faith, and again offers a lesson no one expects.
We loved their "THEME" song's really catchy and our kids were singing along with it!  Both of these movies were ones we enjoyed and I would recommend for families, especially those with young kids to watch together.  I personally think it's adorable that they have taken these Bible stories and offer them to our kids in a fun animated way!

I Took Four EXPLORERS To "EXPLORER'S REEF" FOR A DAY OF FUN! #50thCelebration @ClydeSeaWorldSD

Did you know that Sea World is Celebrating it's
50th Anniversary?

I was not paid to offer my honest opinion about the new Sea World San Diego exhibit!  I was not monetarily compensated by writing this review/feature!

And along with that special CELEBRATION...they have transformed their entrance into the park...and added an awesome new exhibit called "EXPLORER'S REEF"!
The kids and I got the pleasure to have a bit of a sneak peek of this new, multi million dollar (16 month) project this morning...before the park opened it's gates to the public.  And if you can't tell...they were excited about this before we even left home...bright and early this morning!
We loved the new "photo opportunity" entrance, the concierge style ticketing booths, the true beach front feel as you walk up (we are huge fans of the beach too) and that you have to enter the park now...under a massive wave sculpture that takes you "LITERALLY" under the sea as you enter the park!  We were drawn in...hook, line and sinker!
Just inside the gate, you find coral like designed sculptures and both saltwater & freshwater touch pools!  THESE ARE SERIOUSLY AWESOME!  Your kids won't want to walk away from them!
The "Cleaner Fish" were a HUGE HIT with our kids!  Why?  If you put your hand into the bottom of the tank and wait patiently...these tiny little fish will come nibble all over your hands, cleaning off bits of dead skin and whatever else your hands have on them!  If you haven't experienced this've just got to!  It's like nothing you'll ever do again!  It tickles and will weird you out all at the same time...and your hands will be baby soft if you let them nibble long enough!
There are two types of Bamboo Sharks in touch tanks for you and your children to interact with as well!  Our oldest daughter got to hold the remains of a "shark egg" casing...which she thought was "WAY" cool too!

Those "Shark Eggs" are the weirdest and coolest thing!  We actually spotted an egg in the "Shark Tank"...and the trainers talked to our kids about it!  The eggs are weird, because, you can actually see the baby shark swimming around inside of it and yolk..SO COOL!
There is also a touch pool with rays & horseshoe crabs...which was awesome as well!
We even got to watch the rays being fed!
This "EXPERIENCE" is one your kids will not soon forget!  At least I know ours won't!   And as you can see in the picture above, Sea World is also great about hygiene and the washing stations were perfectly located...for our hand washing needs after our "touching" experience with the sea life! We loved the new feel of the park entrance, the interactive touch pools & cool animals, and all the expertise that the staff has to offer the kids!  They were a plethora of knowledge, as our kids drilled them with question after question about all the different things we saw, touched and experienced!
We not only had the pleasure of checking out this new EXPLORER'S REEF exhibit...but we got to stay in the park for the rest of the day and enjoy all the sights, sounds and fun at Sea World San Diego!   We got the pleasure of talking with one of the trainers from the "One Ocean" Shamu Show and we sat in the very middle "SPLASH ZONE" (yes...we got soaked) during the show and were on the "big screen" four times (the kids were keeping count)!  They felt like TOTAL "VIP's" today!
The icing on the cake to our day at Sea World San Diego...the kids & I got to touch & love on a dolphin today!
It's on my "bucket list" to swim with them one day...but today was a step closer! least one of our kids is (or seems to be) "INSPIRED" to work here when she "GROWS UP"!
Today was a long day...but a wonderful one!
We came home tired (and I got a little too much sun)...but full of amazing memories we got to make together!

I was not paid to post this review/feature about the new Explorer's Reef at Sea World San Diego!  I was not compensated monetarily, but we were given "free entrance" into the park for this sneak peek event and allowed to remain in the park for the remainder of the day!
