As you know, I love Pinterest ideas!
Sometimes I try them and they work!
Sometimes I try them and they don't.
You never know...until you try!

The kids and I just attempted one the other day that worked so well, I had to share it with you guys, because it could save you a little bundle this Valentine's Day and give you & the kiddos a fun project to work on too.
Do you have any broken crayons at your house?
Ok...honestly, if you have kids, you probably have broken crayons or you may have already tossed them in the trash, but for future reference on what to do with them:
Put them in a plastic baggie and save them up until you have enough...to do the following:
Just peel the labels off and cut the broken crayons into bits, that will fit into any silicone mold shape you desire (we used hearts for Valentine's Day). Then fill up the molds with the crayon pieces! You can mix and match the colors in the molds or stick with the same colors.
Our daughter chose to mix them up a little...
You simply put the mold in a preheated 275 degree oven for 10 to 15 minutes (depends on how they melt).
Take them out, let them cool (we put them in the freezer) and then pop them out. TADA!! You have amazing heart shaped crayons (they write great too) and they cost nothing but a little time and a fun project activity to do with your kids. LOVE IT! You can wrap them up individually or put a couple in a baggie with a cute little label and let your kid's take them to school as their Valentine's this year!
Share the love and recycle some old crayons...and it's FREE!!
