I participate in our neighborhood watch, donate supplies to our local elementary school and save points program coupons for them. (and I enter every boxtops giveaway, but they haven't won yet) I shop our local resale stores, farmers markets and contribute to the food bank. BC & a PC what a winning combination! I'd rather see BC donate to the USA, our kids need help, America needs help.

Once a month, we by at least one full bag of groceries to donate to our small town locally run food bank. We usually try to give more but it's always at least one full paper bag. I also regularly give them coupons I don't use to hand out as well (which I hear their clients really like).

We have always supported our local food bank, clothing and coat drives, and blood bank. In my old neighborhood, there was an organization that helped young pregnant women and couples set up homes--I organized my school's annual housewares and furniture drives to contribute there.

Our family donates clothing and household items annually to local charities. I know that there is so much more that we could and should do. As our little guy gets older we plan to do more to "Give Back" as a family to really instill in him the importance of giving.

We have always participated in our children's sporting events and we work at all the fundraisers. I worked for NASCAR for 8 years and other various venues to help support local schools and sports teams. We also participate in Santa Clothes every year which is when Target gives each child selected a 10% off coupon and the Rotary Club gives $110 for each child and an adult is selected or volunteers to take a child shopping for clothes and a toy. The adult shopper is responsible to pay the difference between the amount they go over and the $110 given. I had to not let my daughter take a child shopping again after she went over $300 for one child and said "Mommy can I have your ATM card" I think the only thing her child asked for was a hair brush but then my daughter found out that the little girl had never had a Barbie and I think my daughter bought her the entire Barbie family! LOL! I also give free haircuts during our towns back to school event and my son is a Navy SEAL which to me is the ultimate give back.
